WOW,

Glad to see it came thru, I expected it to taper like it does, but I never in my wildest expected it to make that much TQ downstairs.

What are the chances that you could (or did) do multiple pulls back to back to give yourself an idea of what the second run would look like. It would be cool to see how much battery life/recharge interval is needed and what the drop off looks like.

Did you log IAT for both N/A and Supercharged runs? I would be interested in as much data as possible. This is just too cool, it's so silly, like I said I have always seen the potential but this is the first kit (that is feasible) for use on a car you actually want to drive.

Since this thing adds mostly at the bottom, I would say zero to 60 is where it will shine best. ...if it hooks up lol.

Still about 30 HP gained in the top end which is pretty good too!

I would be interested to see what the gains would be with this and e85 (Considering e85 gives about 30-35 HP gain in the top end as well)

What's going on with the AFR's here, the pic is a little hard to read? Did the stock car start off WAY lean?
Sorry ya its a older dyno i dont think he can email so i just took a picture.

The STOCK Dyno(higher AFR) is the one that is leaner.

The Supercharger(stock tune) caused the AFR to go rich initially but then it stabilized nicely below stock.

Once we get this thing tuned next week we will have a nice stable afr.

We did Lots of pulls, The charge never wasnt full by the time we started again. I would let off at the end of the run and it would jump right up to 26.5v and within about 30 seconds or so it would be at 28's.

We logged everything!! IAT's are really good because we arent compressing the air that much.

We will get more of that information out to you guys next week when we do a tuning session.

Af.... we were sniffing it in one tail pipe. Always funky readings with the dual tail pipe set ups, pkus he had it intentionally cracked loose at the flange for a little noise. At idle we had no reading.

So at low speed it could be off, but it was good enough to give us a trend and pattern. When we tune it, we will do it right.

I have the boosted logs. When I have time....ill go over them and post. Or when we tune it ill take stock versus boosted same day. Same weather etc and post em.

More questions, again about long-term. So how likely is this increased load on the alternator to shorten the life of the alternator, and by how much? Would investing in an aftermarket be affordable or worth it?

the alternator on the twins is already sized generously, to take care of the DI system's voltage requirements. It is a 130amp alternator from the factory. Im not thinking this will be a huge issue but only time will tell...I guess that nice big alt. is a good part of why he has so little "electron Lag"

You may want to patent that term...if e-chargers gain popularity, this is going to be the new tuner-speak

Ill answer that.

It pulls 300~350 Watts during the 're-fill', like a good set of fog lights, but only when re charging, then it shuts off. No degradation to alternator.

This isn't going to have any affect on the alternator life. The system only takes 20a via the starter battery.

Wooow!

If this could be controlled more precisely, I can imagine a 3d map of "dispatched turbo boost" vs TPS % and RPM.

One could shape the TQ curve and the throttle response to their preferred feel.

You should throw a W/M kit on there eventually as well.
