Darren, you should do the Rev works since I've already ordered the JDL... We shall see the differences between our cars... Ohh, I'm picking mine up from the fed ex location tomorrow... Lol... But it won't be getting installed until the 6th but its worth the week wait...I'm also thinking about doing a water/meth injection onto this to help cool it a little more and get that 20+ HP and torque... It'll be nice seeing your car next to mine.

AVO has more potential for more power, you car change to a bigger turbo, add more boost after you reinforce your engine, bigger injectors, fuel pump. That is if you are looking to drag your car, +280WHP. Essentially spending more money on your car, and expect things to start breaking aka garage queen. The twin screw will net less power, but increase drivability in all the rpm range, which a turbo takes spool time and loses the N/A type response from the engine. Although my guess is that the SC will still compromise the N/A response from pulley leech, it should still be better than a turbo. Less heat over all, minimal or no engine mods with stage 1 (past 250whp, stock parts starts to cry) and a much more simple mechanism compared to a turbo kit. Also predictable power means easier to drift, and less chance crashing your car. Only concern would be a instant power from the twin screw may be an issue with stock tires in the PNW rain. I'd invest in better tires for the rears at least, or just slide all over lol. Also without it being IC'd, people that already have this kit is saying "its fine" but I would keep a close eye on temps. Another concern will be diapers. You will need to change diapers a lot, which can add up on cost, when you will be shitting your pants every time you drive the car from joy!

Stupid question, I've never had a car with an SC. Can you set the level of boost, or is that a function of the pulley size?

Thanks. I'm assuming from what I've been reading about this that the stock 7 (I think) PSI boost is about the max you can run with a stock motor. Will this work with a stock exhaust? I know you won't have the performance.
Are there any systems out there that flow better but still sound "stock"? I hate fartcans with a passion. |

This works with the stock exhaust as the exhaust manifold and everything else is left alone. If you would like something that sounds stock at idle and isn't on the wild side, I'd invite you to take a look at the Nameless Performance exhaust range and the Perrin exhaust range; both over resonated versions of their front pipes as well as tamer axlebacks. Ultimately, changing the header will be the biggest power boost AND also the source of most rasp. |

Update. S/C shipping from Cali today... should arrive on Tuesday.
Planning on the Rev Works UEL, and Perrin front pipe, over pipe and 3" exhaust. Possibly AEM intake... I like that it looks near OEM.

If you are picky about sound, I would do some research on that combo if it has any rasp. I've heard some rasp with a similar setup with Borla UEL.
