What defines a true sports car? Before you argue anything, I'll give my advanced counterargument and say anything built on a production/assembly line with amenities for comfort is not a true sports car (this includes Ferraris) by your argument.

Wuh? Who was talking about the Miata's demographic? I was talking about the ride for daily driving. It's softer than an S2k.

The FR-S and the Z doesn't look really round and they look pretty aggressive looking so they are not styled to attract women to "chick cars". Now the first gen tC is a little bit round looking around the edges.
Adding to that list based on factually seeing girls driving/wanting each listed car on more than one occasion (not based on my personal opinion).

VW Beetle
Chrysler PT Cruiser
Fiat 500
Mini Cooper
Toyota Solara
MkI tC
Miata
S2K
Camaro (current gen)
350Z
G35
Audi TT
MR2 Spyder
Celica

RSX
RX-8
Challenger
240sx (Drifting Pretty crew )

What you're describing is simply whether or not a car looks more feminine or masculine. In general, car design principles have shown that cars with more rounded features are more feminine while those with more sharp edges are more masculine. Some number of years back, Del Coates wrote about this in his column in the magazine, Sports Car International. He is an expert and professor in industrial design, and compared the Nissan GT-R (masculine) and G37 (feminine). He did this comparison by randomly querying a bunch of his students, both male and female, on about 7 or 8 different traits. Consistently, the GT-R showed up as aggressive and masculine while the G37 was very feminine. Neither design principle was relevant to how fast a car looked cause they both looked fast.

Also mentioned in that column ... other more feminine looking cars would include the Porsch 911 and Boxster/Cayman and most Ferraris.

I'll see if I can dig up that issue and scan that column. It's a great read.

A sports car (or sportscar or sport car) is a small, usually two seat, two door automobile designed for high speed driving and maneuverability.[1] Sports cars have been either spartan or luxurious, but good handling, minimum weight, and high performance are requisite.

I know that's not fair, because I never said that.

As far what kinda cars women drive and prefer, if they gravitate towards rounded cars then I wouldn't be surprised if they like the BRZ more. Especially with the less angular front end.
