Fronts: went on perfect, no adapters or cutting or anything.

Rears: need adapters and the wrx rotors won't work due to our ebrake system being huge in comparison.

They bite hard in comparison to stock, which may be attributed to the ebc red pads and ebc rotors. The loss in weight is well worth the money since these are much cheaper than the aftermarket bbk's. I also get a woody having "Subaru" brakes instead of some other brand, I think it just looks cooler.
I'd like to do the same thing as you in the front so I don't need to buy the AP Racing set, which will save me tons of money. Where can I find a set if you know a guy or if you don't have that info do you have a part number perhaps or something that will help me search.

I've had EBC Yellow pads on my Elise and R32 and loved them. Red pads are a little more daily driver and I think you'd like the Yellows better since I know you're more like me function > form.

If I can get the fronts, maybe you could assist me in installing them as I'm pretty worthless when it comes to brakes/brake fluid. I'm good at installing most everything else however. Maybe it's just bleeding brake fluid that has me intimidated and need someone to show me the skinny.

You may be able to re-use stock rotors up front; the part numbers I'm bringing up show only a 1.5mm difference in OD of the front rotors.

The fronts are super close in size, as long as you don't have any pad hanging over the edge of the rotor it'll be just fine to run.

Haven't had time to magnet or test fit stock wheels, sorry guys.

You may have SOME pad overhang, I believe it's been reported before in the 3G WRX circles, but I haven't been active in that community much. I wouldn't consider it a big deal.

Too much pad overhang could create pad seating issues and weird wear on the rotors. I would theorize it could cause uneven piston wear. But for only 1.5mm I couldn't see anything crazy.

Yeah im actually upgrading to BRZ/FRS DBA rotors, figured I would do the rotors, pads, lines, everything at the same time.

So I already bought the DBA rotors but haven't stopped in to Mach V to pick them up yet, sounds like I should be okay with the BRZ/FRS rotors though right? Im sure if I called up Matt/Dan they would take care of me and switch it to WRX rotors but id rather not hassle them if I don't have to.

Going by the chart, the WRX rotors could quite possibly be lighter if DBA isn't using the same P/N for both.

Looks like Mach V has them both listed with the same P/N.

Just checked on DBA's site and they also use the same P/N, so Should be good to go there. Now I just need to start looking into spacers.

Just for clarification, which year range do the front 4 pots direct bolt to the FRS/BRZ? Just asking to determine if the STI Brembo's direct bolt in as well.

Front Brembos of any year are a direct fit, minus the new bigass rotor you'll need (and the companion bolts to mount the caliper to the upright). In addition, you will need a 15-20mm spacer for stock wheels. I test fit my Brembos recently, so trust me on that.

As covered in numerous other threads, the rear Brembo from 2008+ STI is a direct fit with the appropriate rotor (2008+ STI dual-drilled aftermarket or redrilled OEM-spec STI rotor).

In term of Subaru 4/2 pots, do they need 15-20mm spacer on both front and rear stock wheels?
