Fact of the matter is most drivers wouldn't know how to handle oversteer (most end up overcompensating and spinning their ride) as well as they would understeer where things like ABS and DSC (that's what we call it at BMW, not sure what toyota's name for stability control is) make it as easy as pressing your brakes and turning while gasing it.
Proper winter tires owns all. I still say a proper RWD is just as good if not better in snow/rain as a FWD.

I would say the split is like 80/20 in favor of males. The tC however I swear is 50/50 or even 40/60 in favor of women.

Mid-Aged females are all over the Nissan 350z (300hp, RWD). The FR-S is sexy and females love a good looking car. I see mostly females in RX8's.

Don't see them in the S2k, and the 370z is still to new. But the FR-S is affordable, and females LOVE sports car.

It's not a bad thing...don't get why guys get all constipated just because a woman likes the car they drive. Women have great taste.

The tC is split 60/40 if you go read the demographics. It's probably closer to 50/50...so how does even 50/50 make it a female vehicle. It's a neutral one. Now if we were talking about something like a VW Bettle, you would have a point.

It seems as if the definition of racing "heritage" largely is dictated by Length of time. Scion has not been in motorsports that long. BUT....for the length of time they have been in it...they have taken names and kicked ass. So, I can care less how long it's been, only by what is being done. And by that merit, they are doing great in Motorsports. Toyota has been in motorsports for decades right....but what has it done lately?

And you can have an opinion and find youtube videos about RWD being ok in the snow. Where it fails is in the statistical data, FWD > RWD in harsher conditions.

I will be honest I don't see many females in a 350z or a RX8. I mean very few. Most females just aren't into cars and most want something practical like a SUV to bring the kids to school and soccer practice. I really don't see many women in sports cars at all. If they are well to do I do see them in 5/7 series or S class. Might just be a Midwest thing.

However I predict the same thing about a AS1. Will primarily be a male car except for those few females that are into cars/racing/drifting. Most females want a more comfortable ride where they can fit more of their girlfriends and more of their shopping bags from the mall. Not a tiny ass 2+2 seated which will only fit 1-2 shopping bags in it from the mall.

^I usually don't notice females driving sports cars, but when I do, lately I've noticed one in a 350z or RX-8 or G37.

You simply can't make up for the lack of weight over the rear wheels, unless you feel like throwing sandbags in the boot. Sure you can get MOVING on a flat (working at a BMW dealership; I've experienced first hand numerous customer complaints about blizzak's being unable to make it anywhere on an inclined surface. And those are some pretty good snow tires =/.) surface but handling is a different story; pushing and steering is simply harder than pulling while steering.

An honest question, have you driven a RWD car with winter tires in the snow? It handles differently than a FWD for sure, but I still maintain that it handles just as well. I have driven both and still prefer a RWD w/ winter tires. No doubt about that. A lot of Europeans take their RWD German cars up to the ski resorts without issues.

I hate driving a FWD car in snowy weather and having to go up a hill/incline. All the weight gets transferred to the rear of the car and you have no go. Several times I have been unable to make it up the hill.

My wife daily drove our 6spd 03 350z and misses having it....just saying...lol. Went from a 350z, to an Infiniti FX35 (basically SUV 350z) because we needed space for baby seats. Then to a Camry for the better MPG. But she misses the Z and sometimes want to feel the boosted tC and not be stuck driving a family sedan all the time.

Its a location thing. I see plenty of women driving sports cars. For me, anything less than $70k and looks sexy, is potentially a chic car. I don't base my buying off of what gender drives it the most though. I'm not built that way. If I like the car, it meets my requirements, I'll buy it.

If I didn't I wouldn't have bothered to comment. I had a 240sx while I was in school in upstate NY and I can honestly say the difference between my 240 and my SVT are extremely noticable. The SVT is much easier to maneuver in the snow. This car may not be a problem in the snow with some decent snow tires on the stock rims because it's rolling on prius tires with a small contact patch but most higher horsepower RWD cars are horrible in inclement weather. But even if the car isn't too much of a problem in the snow the TC will do better because of drivetrain and weight. Pulling weight on a slippery surface is always going to be easier than pushing it.

Women should gravitate to this car due to entry price and looks.

Doubtful. Still think this sill be a car own primarily by men. At best I say 70/30 split but probably more like 80/20.
