Camber bolts too?

Ok,
Springs it is.

Should I go ahead and order camber bolts to put on When I do the springs?

I got a set of Tiens on the way, 1.4 inch drop. Will I need the crash bolts to get the alignment right?

I plan on taking it to a good shop in town for the alignment.

Stock wheels and tires for now BTW.

Even if they did, you could buy OE struts 4 times for what they cost.

If you want to look cool and say you bought something for your car, go for coilovers.
Read again. I never said they would kill your stock struts. Only that they will make them wear out faster.

If you want to look cool and say you bought something for your car, then the sub 1k coilovers are a good way to go. I don't see a reason for buying 2k+ coilovers for a 25k car that'll never see a track day in it's life.

My advice is definitely just springs. Stock struts are better with a spring a bit different than they are valved for than cheap coilovers and the springs will cost you a third of what the cheapest coilovers cost.

Modern, high quality, coil springs don't sag. What "sags" over time are the OEM bushings and OEM bump stops which end up tearing and degrading usually because they are either under stronger loads, or at non OEM angles.

The way to combat this would be to buy a spring that comes with a bump stop with a higher durometer and then replace your bushings with poly inserts, or a hard rubber (more ideal for a daily, but harder to find). Alternatively you can just buy another set of OEM bump stops and re-cut them (assuming you did this the first time as most spring mfgs. suggest) and another set of bushings and re-install them to get the same feel as the day you put your springs on.

Also, as noted above, if you use a very aggressive drop with OEM struts they will wear out faster and this can lead to a harsher ride due to your struts no longer dampening the way they should.

Theom, if you are going with a 1.4" drop I would suggest an alignment bolt as well, and get an alignment done right away.
