I agree 100% N2O. I didnt know it was called family sharing. Since they changed there minds about restrictions I will get one eventually but I want to see if these new systems have a terrible failure rate first

I love all the people that are acting like Microsoft raped and pillaged their town.

If you were unhappy because of their original announcement and now you are still unhappy because they gave you what you were whining about then you probably were never going to buy an XBox One anyways and are just looking for reasons to be angry with Microsoft.

Stopped reading right there because your opinion does not matter to me anymore as you are an "offline gaming enthusiast". Online gaming is what has made gaming what it is today. The fact that people can host tournaments and live stream their gameplay has revolutionized gaming and inspired many publishers to think even bigger. If all you want to do is game offline then don't complain about what X1 had in mind originally, just get the PS4. Thank you

I honestly felt like we screwed ourselves
http://www.dorkly.com/article/52521/...e-announcement
I pre-ordered the X1 the day they announced it. I was excited about all the new features and how different it was from the same old last-gen. PS4 just updated their hardware pretty much. While X1 had SO many new things, they were looking towards the future. I loved it all and not being offline didn't effect me whatsoever. I got the Day One Edition too. Now that they reversed the DRM stuff, It kinda sucks. I was looking forward to all of that, but at least most of the new features stayed. Just wish the gaming community would have understood that it would have been like Steam, where you can get games SOOO cheap haha. Funny article btw.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. They call us fanboys and yet they're the ones constantly bashing MS before AND after the changes. just admit you were never gonna buy an X1 and move on with your life haha

Actually it is. You have to have an internet connection to even get on Steam and you have to have an internet connection to download the games. And SINCE WHEN has everyone became so anti-connectivity? Aren't they all online talking about how much they hate being online? haha

Cuz you're an offline gamer, nothing wrong with that. But I prefer playing with and against other people, it sharpens my skills because I have real competition. I'm just a multiplayer kinda guy. You seem like the other kind of gamer that likes to play for hours to get an achievement or something. I don't care about any of that, I just want to be the best on the leaderboards with my k/d and win ratio

The thing that I think sucks the most about it is just that it is really a coin toss now. At least before there was an option. You want to try out this new system and see how it goes? Buy a Xbox One. You want to just game like you have since you were 8 years old? Buy a PS4. Now it is just whether or not you want to pay an extra $100 to have Kinect or not.

4GB Xbox 360 with no internal batteries and blu-ray $199.99
160GB PS3 with blu-ray and no need for batteries $249.99

I would rather have more storage and the ease of no batteries to buy or replace vs a Kinect 2.0. They seem more essential to gaming to me. Also I am 28 too so I know you know where I'm coming from.
Having sold 77 million units each, prices can come down substantially for both. For quite a while PS3 was still significantly more money than even the highest model 360. It wasn't until price drops that things started evening out. I get that prices are maybe a little slanted in PS3s favor now, but once profit margins are cleared, it's up to manufacturers mostly to dictate what the prices are. Everyone was shocked at E3 that the new "super slim" 360 didn't get another price drop. But they assume it will come down closer to X1/PS4 launch time.

A side note on the controllers, I'd much rather have removable battery packs than have a controller that, if the batteries are dead, won't function without being plugged in, nor will it charge while the system is off. MS gives the option of a rechargeable battery pack and the cord is like 10 feet long. The cord provided with my PS3 is like 2 and a half feet and doesn't even make it from the entertainment center to the couch. Forcing me to buy another USB cable that no other device in my house uses, or sit on the floor close enough that I could play without yanking out the cable. The other big thing that I mentioned earlier was the HD cables. BLEW MY MIND. PS3 was supposed to be this huge powerful graphics beast machine. Yet, ships with red white yellow RCA cables.... Back in 2006 and 2007, the price of an HDMI cable was about the same as 360's rechargeable battery pack.

Most of my games, since I got my PS3 early in its life, do not support trophies. Or certain games that do (like Uncharted 1) only support them if you delete your old save and start everything from scratch. And they wonder why it left a bad taste in my mouth! 360 pioneered the idea of cross-game universal system-wide achievement points and everyone loved them. By the time Sony took the idea and implemented it (two years later), only a handful of titles got retrofitted to accept them. Granted I think the trophy system is better overall (for games that have come out since then), it's probably that way because they saw what MS did, how everyone liked it, then took it and improved on it.

MS had dedicated and committed customers and instead of taking the 360 and just making better hardware to allow a better gaming experience, they felt it necessary to kick the hornets nest and basically put profits over culture. People arent mad because of what MS back-peddled on, they are pissed because this xbone is a corporate money machine. Kinect is so they can sell advertising.
Its disgusting to see the level of profit driven tactics MS implemented in the brick just to syphon more and more money from customers, or should i say consumers. I was a dedicated xbox fan since its inception but in way in hell will a xbone ever be in my home. Ill keep my 360 and i have preordered the PS4, which is a 1st for me. Preordering that is...
