Yes its SA Toyota, but its convincing enough for me since I fit in the Driving condition "criteria"

I mentioned this to my dealer and again they were deer in headlights and at that point I just abruptly walked out.

In either way, stock or tuned, the fix isnt there I missed something ?

My temporary fix is shifting granny style for now on the latest tune waiting John to push the new one.

Hope to get the new file before vacantion in two weeks crossing fingers.
Like I said... I'm mainly being overly cautious. Should I get the symptoms prior to the fix being available I can now just bring it on in for service. If, heaven forbid, there was a catastrophic failure, the car is already returned to stock.

That's one reason why my car will never see e85 again. I can always take off a PD supercharger that sits on my engine, but its not as easy to burn off the gas if you cant drive it.

It isn't all that difficult to syphon out the gas tank and fill it up with proper gas (arguably easier than swapping out an SC or Turbo system). Sure that doesn't quite rid the e85 in the lines, but I bet money they would only ever test the contents of the tank.

Also, IMO, if you were ever at all worried about warranty, or the risks involved in modding the car, you should have never used e85 in the first place.

There are ways around that that take minor amounts of wrenching

If you meant "fortunately", I agree completely. As far as I'm concerned everyone who runs E85 and/or flashes their ECU should lose all engine warranty coverage. Let your "tuner" take responsibility for his work. It pisses me off to see so many kids today thinking it's perfectly okay to highly modify their cars, break them and then expect the dealer/manufacturer to foot the bill. If your tuner is really better than Toybaru, let him warranty his tunes.

I turbo-charged my last car at 20k miles and it never occurred to me that I could return it to stock and attempt to defraud the dealer and Scion into fixing what I broke. If you can't afford to play the game, stay on the sidelines until you can.

This. I don't see why it's encouraged in this day and age to make fraudulent claims. Nor would I partake in it.

Plus I'm happy N/A.

The latest software we have installed in South Africa gives slight mid improvement based on the dyno test, but however seems to drop off earlier.
Im running STG1 tune on your 00G software and very nervous as Toyota have installed the new 001G and checked my injectors already.

So hoping the new tune comes quick.

Now aren't you being a little hard on the "kids" in this case? This issue is known and half of those effected are on the stock tune. It's Toyota/Subaru's base "tune" that is causing it. Why should anyone be denied warranty coverage for a flaw in the factory programming? Reversing the reflash just prevents the dealer from playing the "modded so denied" card. If said mod was not responsible for the issue, then fraud is not indicated. In most cases here, giving us a "reflash" from Toyota/Subaru is what will fix this and building reflashes from that base also fixes it.

Obviously, if you are truly "highly modified" what you are saying is understandable. I would certainly not expect warranty coverage on my 425whp Acura.

Alrighty

I'm noticing that cars with aftermarket headers need a little different tuning...

So going forward we will have STG1 and STG2 tunes.

STG2 tunes will require a header and is available to all my customers at no charge.

Because of a slight bug transitioning to A01 roms with the direct injector fix there will be a v1.14 for manual and v1.06 for autos

I'm already working on some really cool stuff for the next revision 1.15 & 1.07 but is going to take a little more R&D before it releases.

So ticket away..

If you have a flex fuel kit on order please don't waste my time asking for this tune.

Thanks
