Yeah, I'm also trying to be patient... and careful, but trying not to rev past 5000 very often is getting old.

I rev past 7k but make sure to shift slowly as to not create the condition which causes the issue

I know. I thought maybe John would put his evil genius to work and improve upon the OEM fix.

Could you expand upon the issue and what is going on?

John

That was three weeks ago. And as far as I know, it's the last update we've had.

He's definitely a busy guy... Vortech kits, turbo tunes, Flex Fuel kits, and getting an updated tune to all of us that contains the injector seal fix... plus everything else he does (travel, tune GT-Rs, etc). This delay is not at all surprising considering how much is hitting at the same time.

Being overly cautious, I decided to flash back to stock. Wow I had forgotten how MUCH John's tune improves the car in every way... even idle. The car just runs better (never mind how much better performance is). I am very anxious to get 1.13 on my car and have the new stock file with the fix as well. Until then I'm trying to stay away from those red marks on the RPM gauge.

My question would be, when a new base calibration is released by Toyota/Subaru how difficult is it to incorporate that? Do you have to use it as the new base and copy all your modified table values into it? That could be a genuine pain in the ass.

Been stock myself. I sometimes think my car runs in limp mode but then remember its just because john's tune is incredible. Haha.

It's a shame it is taking so long from when he originally said it would be ready. But in the end, I don't mind waiting.

I dont get it, why are you returning to the stock tune ?
In either way, stock or tuned, the fix isnt there I missed something ?

My temporary fix is shifting granny style for now on the latest tune waiting John to push the new one.

Hope to get the new file before vacantion in two weeks crossing fingers.

Why is everone driving granny style now? Am i missing a TSB or confirmed report showing injectors/seals are being harmed when revving up the RPM band on the last ECN "fix" before these injector stories started popping up? Are previous Visconti tunes more at risk than those on the stock tune (I TSB flashed 4 months ago to fix supposed idle issues)?
