A failsafe for a failsafe. Never can be too careful when it comes to blowing an engine...

What are you doing in failed mode (Drop boost, Map switch, throttle close, fuel cut etc etc...) and how? I'm very familiar with meth and failsafes with turbo cars, just not sure what options there are with ecutek and innovate TS.

Nothing wrong with extra protection, but honestly, I can't think of a failure mode that the IAT would catch that a Window based flow failsafe would not.... If you get a clogged nozzle or line, low flow trips, if you get a line failure high flow trips.

Failed mode is sending boost to the bottom nipple of the bypass actuator, opening it and dumping boost back into the intake. It reduces max boost attainable to 2 psi.

As for a failure mode that the IAT would catch.... like I said it is a failsafe for a failsafe. Ie:

a. flow sensor malfunction/damage
b. failsafe software malfunction
c. electrical malfunction (bad/loose wiring connections)
d. Safe Injection boost solenoid malfunction (doesn't send boost to bottom nipple)
e. hose to bottom nipple rips, melts, slips off

Redundancies are a good thing when dealing with an expensive complicated system.

Yeah, I figured you had to be dropping boost with the bypass valve. How would you deal with the IAT signal ? Sounds like a good plan.

The water meth injection is theoretically lowering intake temps by at least 40-50 deg F. The tuner's thought is that if the temps read, for example, 150 F and below then it runs the normal meth tune which has timing advanced. If it reads anything higher than that (like 170 F or 200 F etc) then it will retard timing 5 degrees and add fuel.

To determine these temp windows, we would do a few pulls without meth, then a few pulls with meth.
