I was too, for many years. I own two racing wheels and 9 Gran Turismo titles, including rare in-betweens, and a copy of GT5 Prologue signed by driver Tanner Foust. Times have changed. GT5 was a big letdown for me because so many other quality racers came out in the six years between GT4 and GT5, that when GT5 finally did come out, it such a disappointment to see such little growth in the title. And I don't know if any patches or updates have helped, but when the game came out, it felt very unfinished and even lazy. Lacked polish, presentation, and did not feel like a title that took six years to make. I think the only benefit GT has is the ability to use a quality racing wheel. The wheel options for XBOX are quite limiting, but luckily controlling the racing games with moderate-to-good precision is easy with their control setup. I've never been able to play any GT game outside of 1 and 2 with a controller. Give me a G25 or G27 and I'll be happy. But I don't have a place to set that up anymore. Though I did build a racing pod out of 2x4s and an old passenger seat to use with the GT Force and GT Force Pro that I had. Was the seat out of my old scrapped Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Used it for most of my time in GT3, GT4p, and GT4. Was an excellent experience, especially with the GT Force Pro.

Hands on impressions

For now, I’m pleased to report that DualShock 4 is hands-down the best, most comfortable console controller I’ve used.

The only thing I don't like is the stupid microphone/earbud connected to the controller. I thought that was a stupid idea back when Xbox first implemented it, and I still think it's a stupid idea. I like being able to use any bluetooth headset.

Until the battery dies in the middle of a game. I always found the wired 360 mic clear and loud and it came bundled with the console for free.

I like the new PS4 controller. The analog sticks are still in the wrong spots, but it looks like a lot of improvements have been made over the tired and dated design.

The xbox has them in the wrong spot... the xbox controller looks likr it was designed by a monkey...

You must have never had a Dreamcast or N64. It's much more natural to have the primary analog stick straight up to align with the thumb facing forward. Not off to the side so I have to pivot my thumb left and right to move forward and backward. Ideally the second stick should be up top too, especially for twin stick movement like shooters and platformers. The Wii U controller copies this design and it feels very nice, especially for shooters.

I had and still have an n64... but I never liked that controller either... to me the ps3 controller is much much natural to me... the xbox cause my hands to cramp after an hour of use... whereas I can use the ps3 controller for 6+hours or untill the tip of my thumb starts pealing up

ps4, I skipped ps3 entirely because of my obsession with halo and playing tournys from xbox carried to x360. Im pretty much done with FPS now, and im getting back into RPGs, particularly imported JRPGs.

So ill be skipping xboxone for this console generation. All my other gaming needs can be had on my PC.

Also PS controllers are more comfortable to hold even if the left analog stick still needs to be moved.

GDDR5 has only slight latency advantage on bandwidth, other than that, GDDR3 and GDDR5 differences are very small, and likely you wont see a big difference between games on either console.

Studies and Reviews show that the Xbox controller is more ergonomically friendly. You may feel like the PS controller is more natural, but for most of the population, Xbox controllers feel better in the hands. This is why the PS had third party companies coming in and making controllers that resembled the Xbox controller for PS users.
