Took measurements today with Bumper off. The problem is the top Condenser bracket bolt on the driver's side. I took a toothpick and made it as small as possible trying to fit it in the spacec between AVO IC and Condenser bolt. The piece I made was still a bit larger than the space, and it measured a whopping 9 mm......

The FBM radiator adds 25 mm to the stock radiator. Divide that by two conservatively (adding half and half thickness on both sides which is not the case, it adds most if not all towards the front), and you are left with 12.5 mm.

Some fab work needs to be done to the Radiator support brackets to make it fit differently. The problem is also that the AVO kit leaves little room in the engine bay with the intake lines.

Maybe Koyo??

This product is definitely worth the money invested. Pure Automotive had issues with his Stage 2 car when in traffic with the stock radiator.

My Stage 1 car seems to remain cool even when whipping it around then getting caught in stop and go traffic. Very awesome product! I'd recommend it to any FI FT86 (excluding one's that it doesn't fit).

I have it, and my car still starts heading towards the 3/4 mark on the OEM coolant temp gauge and the A/C starts blowing warm when in traffic. I mostly attribute that to the dual 12" slim fans and not being ducted like the OEM fans. I don't think it will ever overheat, but it does get warm in traffic. We hit the 90s for temps this week as well.

That's pretty odd. Maryland has been in the 80s on and off, but I haven't had that bad of traffic. Guess you might have to take a trip to the 7-11 for some ice...

One of the reasons why I like the FRS more than the BRZ- you can remove the front grille for more air flow.

Just out of curiousity, are you running an oil cooler?

That's quite worrying. I was surprised how quickly the AC went from cold -> hot while sitting in traffic on stock radiator in 85f. I'm still waiting on my hoses to come in (payment sent 6/3 hurry up FB!) before I can try it out.

It doesn't matter how thick the radiator is, if it isn't getting the air flow to cool it. The car and radiator work great with airflow through the front, but in traffic with the A/C on all we have are the two fans which just don't push enough air. I wonder if adding in two pusher fans in front would help or hurt more than they help. I am still holding out hope @FullBlown comes out with a fan duct that mounts to the aluminum radiator. Even if it only raises the fans half an inch off the radiator, I bet it would help.

It's probably the fans as I sat on the race grid this weekend with the FB radiator, AC on full blast for 30 minutes, front mounted turbo kit, and the temp never budged and I'm runnning OEM fans and the Hydra EMS. Now with the Hydra I have the fan on temp set to 88c and the secondary fan turns on as soon as the AC comes on or above 92c. I think it was in the high 80s F during the race.

This happens to our car too since the turbo kit even with the Koyo rad. It doesn't over heat at all though and the temp gauge reads normal (below half)
