Haha yep they certainly attract attention, even before purchasing I was in two minds, car looked too big and awkward in photos until I saw it in the flesh(metal)... I'm lowered which makes the stockies look even better but if I was to change rims it would be these

Keeping this car clean & classy, I'm so over offsets and stance

Multi-spoke are the way to go on these cars. And I was the same way. I owned a mustang cobra and blew off the 86 until I saw one on the way to work. For some reason, I kept ing over it every day, and then it was gone. Never saw it again. The second I saw a white 86 in person, it was over. The Cobra was sold the next week and the 86 was purchased two days before the Cobra went to her new home. If I would have just had pictures, I would still be in a mustang. Car is in pictures for some reason.

Amen. I got 18x8 +45 waiting to be installed. Will stick out just 8mm more than stock. Just a tad more agressive while still tucked inside the fenders.

I'd like to see 225 on the stockies though.

whats the widest we can go on the stockies?

I liked the stock wheels except for 2 things: offset and weight. Not enough offset for the fenders and at 20.8 lbs (what I weighed the wheels less valve stems at) they are too heavy for 17x7 wheels. When I got my track set wheel/tires that weigh ~5 lbs less a corner than stock, did not want to swap back to the stock wheels/tires and get the stock ride quality back after I had gotten used to the better ride quality of less unsprung weight. Finding the right replacement Daily Driver wheels took a while, but I recently found some enkei's that look perfect for the car, have a decent +40mm offset, are 7.5" in width, and weigh 17lbs. Plan to stick with stock tire size for the car, so 7.5" width should be about perfect, still rocking the stock tires, which I actually really like and find no fault with...plenty of grip and good handling characteristic for a daily street tire once you get at least 3-4k miles of wear on them. Stock tires perform better with lighter/wider aftermarket wheels as well.

LOve the stock wheels , hard to find anything that look better and just the right amount of bling . Got to get rid of the scion emblems with Toyota or 86 wheel cap stickers though!

20mm adaptor spacer type should look real good. Thats almost 2/3 of inch gain. Im sure you could even go 25 or 30mm without any problem.
