I believe that the breakdown of oil, as @40flash mentions, is the most important oil-related issue in our cars. As long as you're running a good engine oil that can take elevated temperatures, there's no real need to install an oil cooler on a mostly stock engine. I'm pretty careful about my engine oil, and I have Blackstone Labs do an analysis of every oil change. So far it has shown that the engine is starting to finish breaking in (at 13,000 miles), and that engine oil viscosity is decreased dramatically over the course of an oil change interval. After 840 miles the factory oil was almost too thin to be classified as an 0W-20 anymore, and the Motul I run now for about ~4000 miles is not the same grade it started as at the end of its life. I would recommend picking a high-quality oil with good HTHS (High temperature, high shear) properties that can survive the conditions in our engines. Motul is very popular with Subaru owners, and the reports from Blackstone are generally very positive. Mobil 1, on the other hand, doesn't have a great reputation in Subaru engines of the past, so many owners are reluctant to try it in the new FA20 engines. Anyways, with the right maintenance, I don't think you'll have much need for an oil cooler. (Unless you install a turbo. )

I was wondering if any of you had bought this mirror or knows anybody who has. http://ft86speedfactory.com/rexpeed-...rrors-852.html
Claims to get rid of the blind spot which is something that I would like to do. Let me know what you think. |

Thank you for all of the replies everyone! I will definitely be spending my money on some new tires after I drive the car a little more.
My goal right so is essentially show and fun driving. I am looking in to some of those other drives. I had never heard of HWY191 but I am going to plan a drive up there some weekend. |

Thanks for the link. I just decided to give them a try. The one thing I like about Ford is that blind spot mirrors seem to be pretty standard with their vehicles. It would be nice if Toyota did the same thing. |
