Anyone have a World Rally Blue with Blaze Pink coated rims????
I'm thinking of doing this. Just wondering how close the Blaze pink is to the STI pink. |

![]() ![]() ![]() You can probably get the blaze pink pretty close to the STI pink with the right basecoat and some pearlizer. Check out dipyourcar.com's YouTube videos. They have one where they use the pearlizer over blaze pink. |

i'm a noob to car cosmetics. but what's wrong with just spray painting the rims? everyone's saying after a few months the dip peels off. that'd just look unappealing and you'd have to clean the whole thing off or redip right?

EDIT: i saw a youtube video. of a guy removing plasti-dip. he just peels it off with his own hands. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHbXu4R8Zls"]Removing plasti dip from alloy wheels - YouTube[/ame] And i noticed that there's a bit of plastidip residue as he peels it off. how do you get the residue off? maybe some adhesive remover? |

Part of the point is that it's temporary. You peel it off and get your original wheels back.

Love it! going from orange back to black is a drastic change but the yellow blaze is really catchy.

@Fonzie from dipyourcar.com doesn't card off the tires. he suggests spraying it thick onto the tires as well, so you can just pull the excess off. now he didnt say if we should put on tire shine to make sure its oily and the paint comes off.
