Most of the spacers on ebay are crap. I've had good success with angled spacers but I think the mini-cat spacer is so cool that I have to have one on my FRS header.

BTW, I could understand all the bitching and moaning about Borla headers if the head flanges were the slightest bit warped but the collector flange? It shouldn't be hard to seal that connection despite some flange warp.

Here is what the header sounds like with our new single exit exhaust.

Sounds mean!! I still love every minute of driving my car even that much more with my Borla UEL. I have to admit its a little sketchy driving in the rain now with the improved TQ. I'm sliding all over the place even in 4th gear. The car runs awesome now and sounds amazing!! Anyone on the fence about buying this should jump in head first. FT-86SpeedFactory has great pricing and service and the header is a must have on these motors. Best mod to date (with the @FA-20Club.com tune of course) bar none.

Thanks for the videos, I love hearing all the different setups with this header.

O2 spacer or diy(I did today): buy two 18mm spark plug antifoulers, drill a 1/2in bit through the center of one of them, screw your secondary o2 sensor into that, then that into the untouched one, then the whole mess into your header. There is a writeup in the DIY section

Is that just the perrin catback and the header, no overpipe/mid-pipe etc? Any other videos of it under load? Sounds pretty awesome on that vid, want more!

For those talking anti foulers. I throw a code maybe once a month, i dont reset it because it goes away within a day. when i reset it i feel a loss of power for awhile after i ride it out till it goes away. Instead of fouler im saving for a tune, the header is great without one but with its a miracle.

Just curious. What is the exact code that is being thrown. Thanks.

I've had the Borla UEL header for almost 3 weeks now. I'm using an angled spacer from ebay. 500km (300 miles) and no CEL yet.

No peak hp and torque gain on the dyno using the stock tune, but there's a significant gain in the tq dip area.

The car is definitely faster. Coupled with the Unichip and Milltek headerback exhaust, I'm now able to chirp the stock tires shifting from 3rd to 4th gear.

And of course, the main reason why I bought the UEL header... The boxer rumble. It sounds freaking awesome! I don't even listen to the radio anymore whenever I'm driving

Have you tried not using the spacer and having the unichip tune to see if that removes the cel or not?

The Unichip does not disable the CEL.

Just use an angled o2 sensor spacer and call it a day.
