door speaker upgrade - 6.5" sub
has anyone considered something along the lines of this along with a small alpine amp upgrade?

I've seen those 6.5" subs on the cdt website. Not sure if they will fit depth-wise, or how they would sound in a door. Send me a pair and I'll try it :-)

Anarchy. 'nuff said. They also know how to play higher than most sub's with very good distortion.
I have some of the 8ohm in projects crossed as high as 1600Hz. |

iirc, the max depth of the doors was somewhere around 3-3.5"... i remember that my peerless hds' just barely fit, and i used a 3/4" piece of mdf as an adapter ring..

The issue becomes how much bass can push through that area without listening to more rattling than music. Upfront bass is awesome, but you'll need to do a fair amount of deadening in the doors.
