Valenti 4th Brake Light Wiring Problem
So I just attempted to install my valenti 4th brake light and ran into a minor problem. I wanted to wire the light to separate the triangle and V light and make the triangle flash when braking and have the V light as the running light. But for some reason after finishing up the wiring and plugging everything in the lights are reversed (triangle stays on on with taillights and V light flashes when braking). I followed tutorials on YouTube pretty thoroughly with the sodering and wire tapping. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
PS. Video tutorials say to tap the light blue wire from the valenti light into the blue wire from the OEM taillight harness wiring but my taillight wiring only has green, red, yellow and black. So I tapped the blue wire to the green wire, not sure if that caused anything? |

This is confusing because different fourth brake lights use different wire colors. However, I did something like this.
![]() Anyways, with my best guess, Green, Red, Black, Yellow. Red and black obviously is the power and ground for what your brake triggers. Green is your reverse light because i think thats what the color of the plug is. But you can make sure to see what wire it goes to. Yellow is probably your flasher. Anyways, to wire it, you need the brake wire and another wire connected to the flasher like the picture above. The reverse wire should be soldered on the reverse. (Again, reverse and reverse ground should be on your harness to plug up. Might need to repin to match colors accordingly. Red wire assuming its your brake wire needs to be spliced into your tail light's brake wire to stay lit. In the pic, the strobe and brake light are soldered together so both would get the power source from when you brake. lmk if this helps, its hard figuring this out without being there or seeing it. I've done this three times before but it was years ago.

Should be simple fix, swap the stock wires you tapped into. For example, if you did brown to red and blue to green, change it to blue to red and brown to green. All you did was tap the opposite wires. (Those colors are example only, your colors may vary)
