Not on that day. I just finished getting my new cam up to working order (had to buy a battery, charger and memory card for it).

It would have been epic though if I did have it on that day. You would have been able to really get a sense of my closing speeds on these other cars like that Evo X in the video. I literally was tapping the gas to keep from running them off the track . And to think, I want an additional 130-170whp out of this car.

When that Type-R waved you by was he slowing a little too? Because from inside his car, holy crap you blew by him!

(And you were a little off line the first time in the B&W vid, something happened? Looked better when you were following the 'Vette near the end.)

I would try to get some buddies to all buy a GoPro camera each and then take turns putting like 4 or 5 (low forward, low behind, high forward, door forward so you can see front wheels turning, etc...) on different spots on one car when doing some runs, could do some really cool vids with editing.

Also looking like my 2AZ Supra idea is on hold, as the garage/shop I had lined up to rent isn't going to happen.

Thanks for the insight, I was looking in to Fikse wheels . . . and they seem to be what I need.

During driver meeting it's a safety issue if you are to stay wot while trying to let cars pass at the same time. You are not suppose to try and drag race the other guy in the straights. You would have people who are really slow in the corners and another guy is on their bumper, but get to the straights and the guy who was on their bumper doesn't have the power to overtake....and the guy in front stays on the gas 100%....then you have a drag race going on, that will most likely end up with both cars side by side trying to go into the next turn. It's proper HPDE etiquette. I don't think it would have mattered that much though in hindsight...lol. Secret to front straight speed is the speed you carry out of Turn 9 which is a long sweeper. If you don't have aero, you can't really step on it in Turn 9 until you get closer to the front straight. I can step on it in turn 9 a lot sooner due to aero, and hold it and carry that speed out. That's how I am able to reach 135mph by the end of the straight.

The Photobucket video I posted earlier where I get the pass by on the M3 and the Type R on the front straight, is the same time as the video of the inside of the Type R view. That was the same moment, only the photobucket video was from my buds camera phone and shot from pit lane of all of us.

The B&W video was on the first lap. Tires were cold and I didn't give them time to warm yet. It's hard to tell from the vid, but the rear stepped out on me a little there, which caused me to brake and straighten up and mess up the line. Takes about a lap and half to get up to temp. The second cut was just a replay of the first one, he spliced the same scene into the vid. And the last part where I'm closing in the Vette was full temp and rocking.

My buds that were there did have GoPro's also. But fumbled around with it to much and didn't really get any videos. The only GoPro worth using is the HD one. And those are $299 if I recall. I will get one though probably later this year, I've used my buddies GoPro HD in the past to get the other track vids I have that were without the boost.

I'm going to see if I can get a link to another video of me entering the front straight. It's on FB on one of my friends accounts so I'm not sure if I will be able to link it and you will be able to view it.

He used his Iphone and it captured the sound pretty good of the turbo spool.

Next event I'm thinking will be sometime in Sep/Oct. I really need to address "safety" mods now. I have to get new race seats since I sold my old ones. Stock seats are having the sides of my knees hurting since I'm using my knees pressed up against the center console and/or door to keep from sliding around.

I have to buy the woman a diamond for her wedding ring before I'm able to do anything else right now, trying to get married. Next season though, I'm aiming for FWD Street Class Global Time Attack victories! They give PAYOUTS!

Thanks for sharing. Your car looks like a blast to drive. That Lotus driver needs alot more track time, he couldnt seem to find a consistant line and was all over the place. Do you have an lsd on your car and any pushing problems now that you have all this new power or do you just lug it on the slow tight 1st or 2nd gear corners?

Yeah I have the TRD/Quaife LSD. When N/A I was pushing 115mph before entering turn 1, and I would be full throttle until after the transition and I could pump the brakes and that would be enough to slow down for turn 2. But with the new power the brakes are not cutting it anymore. I need a Big Brake kit now. Now, I'm entering turn 1 at 135mph, and that's letting off before the transition off the oval. Have to spend all my time in turn 1 scrubbing off all that extra new found speed. I carry about the same speed through turns 1 and 2 I just have to spend my time braking in 1 now rather than part throttling.

Needless to say, the car needs additions to compliment the new power, even though I'm still hauling it faster around the track. It's just more work since it's not balanced how I want it to be right now.
