They're fine for 99% of the time, but if you're drag racing and have to slip the clutch out at 6-7k rpm(probably a little lower on a liter+ bike), they don't last long.

My Motodynamics Integrated tail light wasn't working correctly, so I started opening up the tail to see what had come loose. I started looking around and testing the blinker as I went. Within a few seconds of activating the blinker I noticed smoke was coming out of the tail. I dug around and found that the resistor supplied with the integrated tail was smoking.

Looks like I get to call these guys today.

Who did you get the light from? I know the clear alternatives integrated lights for the first gen D675's were notorious for crapping out after a couple of months, not sure any of them started smoking though.

It is a Motodynamic Integrated tail. They told me they don't know why it is smoking, but they are sending me a new wiring harness. I will probably just heat shrink this one with a better absorber and keep an eye on it.

Lol it gets quiet in the winter doesn't it? Haha, I put my bike up for the first time in 3 years, stays too cold where I am, snows too often, and my god do the salt the crap out of the roads in Ohio. I miss CO, get a nice day every once in awhile in the winter. Always a fan of KTM's supermotos...

....I miss my bikes.

Traded the Bayliss Rep for a new 2012 Hyper 1100sp, hit some sand in the road and totalled it, along with a lot of injuries.

After the crash, I didn't find myself riding much so I sold the Shovelhead and bought stuff for my BRZ.

Congrats!! I've been eyeing the Thruxton for a while now, but now the new Ducati Scrambler is on my radar too. Can't decide.
