I'm no expert but given that you had to reset the ECU to see any power gains I think this is anecdotal evidence that at near-stock power levels the stock exhaust is not a power limiter. in other words, buy this (and other aftermarket exhausts) for the sound or the look or the weight savings perhaps but NOT for power gains. IMO.

That fitment is actually better than the horrible fitment of the Agency Power exhaust I saw on another car.
The AP Header does sound like a good old Subaru though. (I know you don't have that part, just saying).

Honest question, why would there be carbon build up in the back if the tip ends are farther away from the car than normal?

I dunno, I spoke to Vivid, and had higher hopes, seems they pitch AP pretty hard- same company, and well, I'm just not impressed with the AP stuff based on my reads and pics..
They seem to keep sending out stuff that doesnt help their PR, and then it seems they are playing damage control. I dunno, anyone else catching this? |

Instead of ending up on the underside and backside of the grey-black "diffuser" part, the exhaust gas goes up onto the rear bumper and trunk. On some cars, there will even be paint yellowing (on white cars).

My pearl white wrx turned yellow and I didn't even have an exhaust. It's why I went wrb for my BRZ.

Here's a pic on my car. Theres a middle sleeve that allows you to bring the axle back section forwards or backwards depending for your preference. I have the full header back including the catless overpipe, gotta dyno it and see how it is with e85 tune since all my baseline dynos up until this point are recorded thanks to Visconti.
