My agency power exhaust dyno results

This is a dyno of just the cat back system. The base 167 HP and 134 TQ. on a mustang dyno. our first run we gained 0 HP. On our second we gained 1 HP and 2 TQ. We decided to pull the power and reset the ECU. Then we got a 173 HP and 141 TQ, again of 6 HP and 7 TQ
The shipment was missing the clamp to bolt together the y section and the mid pipe, But vivid racing sent it out to me the same day I called them, I also got some extra hardware for it. But i suspect it is because I originally ordered the up pip and headers. But i canceled to to financial reasons. The left tip of the muffler sticks about about 2 inches more than the left. I don't know if this is due to use using a teporary clamp for the y section or if it is a bad design. ill put up a pic later of the tips. And Ill be calling Agency Power on Monday to ask about the issue.
sorry I dont know how embed a video

They had claimed 12 HP and 7 TQ.

But to me that is not the most important part. The most important part to me is that their Dyno showed power made across the band and your Dyno sheet is basically no power (or not much) made until 6500 RPM when you get peak 6 HP and 7 TQ.

Just my observations, nothing against you or AP. Thanks for posting this info that a LOT of people have been dying to see!

Yes, thanks for taking the time to post this, I have been wondering about this. I still think it sounds good. As far as not making much until 6500 RPM, I kinda like that, it's like an added (small) surprise when you get there.

Your post listed facts, I would also be interested in what your overall opinion of your new exhaust is, thanks again

I dont completely miss trust their claims. I know My guys dyno tends to read less than other mustang dynos I have seen. hell our baseline was less than Vivids as well and we have much cooler temps than them. Who knows if they drove it around to let the computer learn or what. I plan on going back when my intake comes in and doing another another pull, after my car has had the muffler on for a while and a few runs with the intake. In the end I did not expect 10 and we found different results depending on what rpm and how he stomped on the gas. I bet with some playing with that may result in better power on they dyno. In the end the car does have a noticeable power increase while driving and sounds bad ass. It gets incredibly loud in the car around 4k rpm and is very quiet about 6-7k rpm. but it is not as loud as you would expect outside. We are going to remove the sound tube and see how it affects the cabin loudness.

Honestly it looks similar to what DD Performance got on a stock car after an ECU reset so my guess is the exhaust itself probably doesn't make much power if any. I saw this is in CA so I'm assuming 91 octane. I wouldnt be completely surprised in making more power after an ECU reset.

Thanks for this awesome post! This seems to be pretty on par with the Greddy exhaust (claimed +7hp, +6ft-lb). Kinda glad I hopped on the group buy for this ($685).

To the OP, what is your opinion on the clamp that joins the midpipe and the axleback? Do you think it's reliable, or should I consider welding the 2 pieces together? It's my only real concern about this exhaust.

Yeah it is 91 octane. Since we don't have the clamp I don't really know how reliable it is. My guy had the muffler shop next door make a tube to slide over the muffler tubing as a temporary hold until we get the clamp. I asked him about just welding it, but he seems to think it is pretty safe. And if we weld it, it would be a pain in the ass if we ever needed to remove it. I know it still feels like it is making some sort of gain but not 10. I was wondering if it was all phonological at first. But it is defiantly noticeable power while going up hill. My girl feels the same power difference. We are going back in a couple of weeks to do some fine tuning to my Celica and we will throw the FRS back on the dyno at the same time and see if any of the gains are still there.
