Internet sales Guy can make better deals because he spends less time on the lot and can handle a greater number of customers at one time.

If you say so. :happy0180:

But the dealership managers and owners decide what a car sells for. :happy0180:

Read both parts, it is a very good indication of how most dealerships will do business in person and over the internet.

I've got better experience, car buying experience. I'm not arguing with you, I'm putting this information out there for people to get the best deal they can without going through the hassle of car salesman pressuring a sale.

Yes, but who are you helping by "putting out" this sort of second-hand-at-best pseudo-information?

I'm not sure why you're so mad at me, have I done something wrong? Internet sales is definitely the best way to get a fair price, some people do not know that or simply forget that it's an option.

I am sorry you feel that way. I am not the least bit mad, at you or anyone else. I just think that there is (at least, for the time being) a difference between the internet and the real world, a difference between fact and unsubstantiated data, and a difference between thinking and googling-cutting-and-pasting.

But I could be wrong.

Good luck. :happy0180:

I am thinking, but I feel that article does a much better job at explaining than I can do. Plus, I am speaking from experience. I have purchased many vehicles through in-person salesman and a few from the internet. It's a vast improvement and I would recommend it to anyone.

Right.

But that's not what you said.

This is what you said: "Internet sales Guy can make better deals because he spends less time on the lot and can handle a greater number of customers at one time."

Just relax. You'll get this right eventually.

I'm not sure why you are so angry. Are you a floor sales guy and upset the Internet guys are stealing sales from you?

The last 4 cars I bought I knew 5 times more about the vehicle than the salesman. As far as I'm concerned their only purpose/use is filling out the paperwork.

I buy by phone using a take my offer or leave it strategy...plan to use the net this time around.

I'll give you guys a hint when buying a car....

1. Become a member of AAA or the NRA
2. Becoming a member of either one gives you access to vehicle price below MSRP.
3. Select the car you want and put your info
4. Sit back and wait for the dealers that work with the AAA or NRA to call you.
5. Keep in mind that they have to give you the car at whatever price is listed on the AAA and NRA website.

Scion doesn't offer any special pricing through either one. But to give you guys a few examples here are a couple of cars I've been looking at.
All of the cars listed below are manual 2012 models.

Genesis Coupe V6 R-Spec = $27,600(MSRP), $25,192(AAA price)
Mustang GT = $30,505(MSRP), $25,763(AAA price)
Mazdaspeed3 Touring = $24,795(MSRP), $22,827(AAA price)
WRX 5dr = $26,345(MSRP), $25,724(AAA Price)
