IMO, if you want stock ride quality you don't want coilovers, period. To get a quality coilover you are spending over $2000. If you want to lower your car, get springs or coilover sleeves on stock struts.

alright, after much consideration i think im going with springs on oem shocks. i dont need to buy aftermakret bump stops right? im leaning towards swift springs since they have a 1" drop, anyone can compare these with the rce springs?

also, i will be mounting 18x8.75 rims on 225/45/18 fornt and 245/40/18 rear tires, so hopefully the drop will make that look good..

I was between the Swift and RCE's for springs as well. The RCE's come with replacement bump stops whereas the swifts do not. You don't NEED aftermarket bumpstops. Swift will have the 1" drop, RCE has about .8" drop. I was swayed to RCE because of the positive reviews, now there should be more about the swift springs on the site. Both are quality so you cannot go wrong with either set.

If you're going with a mild drop you shouldn't need to replace the bump stops.
Here are the spring rates (kg/mm). The drop roughly equal. RCE 4.6K F / 4.6K R Swift Springs 3K F / 4.5K R Stock FR-S 2.3K F / 3.7R Stock BRZ 2.6F, 3.5R The more ratio of stiffness is rear biased, the more oversteer you'll see. I'm very surprised to see the RCEs are equal. I would recommend Swift over that.

thanks for everyones help! i pulled the gun on a set of stance with swift springs. it was for a price i couldnt resist. since i will be planning multiple rim setups in the future i want everything looking flushed so the need to adjust ride height is a must, plus the swift springs should keep things nice and soft

im sticking with 6k/7k spring rate with the swifts, since i was informed by the salesman that its the recommended spring rate for stance. im thinking of going 6k/6k since im looking for a softer spring rate but was told at 6k/7k with swift, it should already feel softer than 6k/7k on stance springs since swift is a lighter and higher quality spring

I would go with the 6/7 just so the car doesn't handle like a pig, but
