Installed this, running 5PSI, never in my life have I been thrown back in the seat so hard.

Don't know how much longer the clutch will hold, or axles. I had a buddy who races garbage trucks hop in and do a butt dyno and he said it was absolutely stunning.
Don't deny yourself and let the haters tell you that you have the wrong car. You want to run 9s all day? Maybe 8.5s? Do yourself a favor, you have earned it.

He was being an ass. Forget about it. People do that crap all the time. Don't blame the car though, it's more about timing. I used to drive a Ford Ranger with the 2.3L Lima on the many 2 lane roads we have out here. It was far more underpowered but I could pass most everyone if I got the timing right. And yes being sneaky helps.

The best investment would be attending a performance driving school and learning to use what you have..
Using a properly sized turbo or variable vane type will give you plenty of boost down low too..

"You have to wait for your boost", the Superpeople say, then the magic "You have to wait for a certain RPM!", like the centrifugal supercharger is any different...

Also, to the OP; Don't lump me in with you. "I want more power! I'm a man! Suuuuue me because I'm compensating!" I love low powered cars. Know why? They're fun. Driving slow cars fast is much more fun than driving fast cars slow.

... also, seriously, learn to launch. 4,000 RPM, no traction control, drop the clutch. Don't slip it, dump it. Sticky tyres wouldn't hurt. Be aware this only works so many times before things go bang and make loud clattering noises.

And if you have an A/T? Yeah, you're not going to be able to launch that hard no matter what.

(Personally, I recommend scratching your itches where you're not going to hit some ape in a minivan going through a red, but whatever.)

The car was dilapidated and this douche saw my car and took the opportunity to floor it and try to give me a run for my money, needless to say, I wasn't prepared and his POS stayed half a car length in front of me the whole 100 yards until the lane ended. I was frustrated!!!!!!! Why would you drive like a grandma to then try and prove a point, just the price you pay to drive such a nice car........
You do realize that the 97-03 Grand Prix was actually pretty stout (from the factory, in its time). With a pulley swap, exhaust mods, and a mail order PCM (Less than $400) these guys will run mid 13s and make 300+ ft/lbs of torque. Intercooler and a smaller pulley you are talking 12s.

You would annihilate that GP in a corner, but again, they can be made pretty quick, for cheap.

Unless it was older than a 97, not sure what to tell you.

But I have the power as soon as I need it, instead of waiting for the lag of a turbo.
Clearly you don't understand how turbo/sc work. Your welcome to PM me if you'd like an explanation.

To be fair, the rotaries make a decent, even torque curve...unlike our cars.
