Diagram looks fine. Should work. By wire to wire do you mean you unplugged the connector, and stuck the wire in the pin for the pink wire? If so....be like super careful....that's exactly how ecus get fried if even a strand of wire crosses to the green pin.

Seriously, don't try using a tester on the connector itself. You most likely will fry the Ecu. Just plug it into the dome light assembly and turn it to the door switch. If the dome light works fine with the door open, then it is your tap, or the wire running from the tap, or the connector at the switch.

ok ill test that out this weekend. just out of curiousity tho. since it sends the door signal too the door lights and i have the kit that has the wires runnin from dome to floors, why can i get the door signal from that wire since i know it clearly has power when the door is open |

The way the oem phasetek is set up the outgoing wires are only connected when the dome light is switched to door or on. So, yes you can use the ground wire from that setup, but the footwells will only come on when the dome light is on. (Well at least the door open part of it). To get the floor well lights to work independently of the dome light when the doors are opened you have to tap the pink wire.

Bought my leds from ijdmtoy. bought some cheap switch from home depot. took me about an hour honestly. taking apart the center consule took me the longest. just tapped into the cigarette lighter for power.
