I'm assuming he means that Toyota is bitching out of taking responsibility and is saying that the maker of the turbo kit should rectify the situation.

Personal choice for sure. I wouldn't (and haven't) hesitate to use them on hoses that see positive pressure. On a barbed fitting and a correctly sized hose they are good. Use clamps if you prefer of course but I wouldn't be too concerned about them.

good luck, if it is something they did I hope they end up paying for it one way or another. if not, then I hope you can afford to rebuild the beauty and get her running more boost in the future

@Frs300 To prevent anything like this happening to another user, I could suggest if you don't know of a good aftermarket shop for the FRS/BRZ, watch for a highly modified Subaru during your daily driving, follow him til he stops* and ask what shop he uses, do it a couple times, and the first shop to get mentioned twice, get an address and go check them out.
I've lived in several Cities (28) and I do just that every time I'm in a new city, its worked every time, a lil scary stalkerish, but you cant ignore the results. The stalkee after you explain what you were doing normally laughs and helps you out. *make sure to announce that your not armed and mean no harm when your following them into their driveway, didnt happen to me but a buddy got a gun pulled out on him when he did this in texas. (I've always owned a subaru so I dont know how they would take it if you follow a subaru in a non subaru vehicle, which is what my buddy did in texas.) Also do you have anymore pictures of your engine? |
