Our baby she is ok so far! We have put about 600 more miles already! I hope she does not throw another CEL up. Please keep us update.

So my car is scheduled to be back tomorrow after i called and emailed corporate. They are able to experdite the delivery of the cam sensor and o ring....... hope everything will be resolved after 2 weeks of waiting.
If corporate didnt give a fuck about the consumer they wouldnt be fixing your car for free. Its the dealers that are ruining everything.

I just joined the check engine light club.
My slip light is sometimes on and sometimes off. I have also noticed the cruse control is dead. The on light will turn on but it will not set. When I try to turn it off the on light just stayes on.
I will be bringing the car to the dealer tomorrow.

A little update; after dropping the car off and talking to the head service rep, he told me that all they had to do was replaced the ECM and it should be back to normal.

I am more than a skeptical the new ECU and programming is a band aid repair for a mechanical issue. If the fault was programming by nature, you would think the issues would happen right away and everyone would have the problem. The mere fact that some people have got the new ecu and they still have problems is a bit concerning. Also why are some having engine parts replaced and other aren't.. Is there possibly more than 1 issue here?

Rob

I'm pretty sure it's more of a mechanical issue than simply replacing the ECU. I have the new ECU in the car from having them turn off my DRL. He said that his tech that did the previous work on the other car will take a look at it on Monday. Once that happen, they'll see if they need new parts.

I just picked mine up Friday after not having it for 3 weeks due to CEL and very rough idle, they replaced my entire computer (ECM+) and on the way home a slight rough idle (again), called the service manager and was told give it a few days, now there is no longer any idle issue, BUT now my Slip light and CEL are on. Not sure the ECM replace will fix.. taking mine back to the dealer tonight...

Just got a called from the dealership and they said that I need a whole new computer. They don't have the part in so a toyota rep will be here tomorrow with the part and I should get the car back then. 3 day turnaround isn't bad.
