They obviously have zero care factor towards loyal 86 (and Toyota) fans!

Just cancel your order guys it's not worth worrying over and save your money for something better the next time around!
Cant believe you cancelled due to the spare wheel issue !! seriously if you had cancelled due to the long wait I would have understood but spare wheel drama its just silly.

Dealers are pissed off too because they can sell 100 of these cars but they don't have the capacity or allocation. So no point shooting them.

At most you all have probably $500 or $1000 stuck in deposits, just leave it there and move on to another car for the time being and sell it once you know your car is scheduled for production.

I am in a similar situation and have sorted out what I will do till I get my car.

The spare wheel was one thing, but I actually also cancelled due to the indeterminate build date - ie, everyone was in the bloody dark about it - was originally promised 4-5 months, when I confronted the dealer about the spare tyre issue and asked again about build date etc he said well let's just wait and see and that's the straw that broke the camel's back.

Yeah I can relate to the dealer not being upfront originally but every single one of them was quoting the same 3 ~ 4 months until TMCA released the bulletin on 10th July confirming that orders had exceeded expectations for certain models.

My dealer rang me two months after I placed the order to give me an update that my order has been pushed out few months my response was

" That's cool understood, please keep me posted with updates."

There isn't much she can do to produce my car any earlier

I actually originally ordered within 2 days of 86 release too (18th June) ... now it seems that even people who pre-ordered the car sight unseen months before haven't even got their cars - now that's really poor on TMCA/WA's part.

I actually ordered a White GTS Auto - mostly the delay's been about GTS manual and GT's but nothing on GTS Auto.

I knew that the waiting's gonna drive me bonkers and the spare ain't making it any easier (missus aint happy) so I canned the order and got a 370Z instead.

I am sure the GTS Auto is also in huge demand, especially SWP.

Well enjoy the Z for now, am sure you made the right choice for yourself.

This doesn't make sense at all.
Really? I'm pretty sure New Town has only delivered about 3... Who did you speak to?

they are private sellers, not dealer allocations.

I don't think you've got anything to worry about. It's the gts mans that are giving everyone the heeby geebies
