I'm glad you haven't had much issues around SD. I was there for a weekend a couple months ago and the roads are no fun when it comes to potholes hahaha. It is the case in OC too. I'm honestly not picky with driving comfortability, I've had a 350Z in the past and that was far from comfy compared to a typical sedan. I also believe you that you've had no issues, I'm sure sometimes tire/wheel issues are just unlucky problems because we can't always see whats on the road.

Thank you for welcoming me.

I've definitely been browsing that link Tcoat provided and it has been very helpful.

I am in no rush to replace the stock wheels to be honest, it isn't that it is ugly or anything like that, I simply just want to stand out a little bit from the stock cars I guess. I am most likely going to stick to the stock wheels for quite some time as wheels aren't really a top priority, but will swap them out at some point.

I've always caught myself staring at high-end cars or cars with special packages that come with red calipers. Also all the racing games I played growing up made them look so nice so I've always wanted one. I just think they add a hint of flare that isn't too flashy or too loud, but it is noticeable enough to get your attention for .2 seconds lol.

Yea stock wheels aren't the best, it feels plain/basic. I agree, no need to waste too much $$ when I can buy a can of spray paint and make it look red lol.

Most TRD wheels compliment the car really well, and being OEM+ you get to keep the warranty. Though they can be a little pricey. Out of the lot, I really like the SF-2.

OEM or not, non-OE/OEM+ wheels alone do not impact your warranty unless wheel failure is a direct cause of whatever issue you're trying to claim.

no service advisor in their right mind will deny you a valid claim.

Check on your local used ads. It's a good way to find good deals on wheels. You can play with different looks and take little to no financial hit if you sell them later.


I went to pick up a set of OZ ultraleggera's and the guy listed with the wrong offset. Because I drove two hours to pick them up, then an hour back after turning around halfway home; I ended up buying a set of JDM wheels he had laying around that looked like super leggera's and bought them on the spot.

It took me a day of research to figure out what I'd actually bought. Super JDM
