Goodness gracious.... Obviously with a probperly sized turbine the loss of exhaust flow( which is minimal) will be compensated for...

Not with theirs, I meant with oem I dont understand why they would do it post cat. I understand the multiple reasons why this one is. You would just think in designing an FI engine that maximum flow for both spool and performance would be a primary goal.

Smaller a/r exhaust housing = faster spool, properly sized wheel= maximum flow. Yes it will rob a few ponies due to higher egt but the engine will prob Mac out before the setup does

Looks great!

I can imagine a top-mount IC rear entry, front exit, with cold air intake under an STI-esque hood scoop.

Good luck with the test runs *fingers crossed*

I wonder what overlap the cams run with the variable cams. This will help in designing the right turbine and AR size when you know what overlap you are dealing with.

Low overlap and a small AR will be really responsive, but more overlap and a free-flowing setup will have a lot more gains.

I've seen a couple strut bars already installed, in fact MotoP has one and I don't believe there is any issue in clearance at this point.

Haha nice. I am stuck inbetween so many rocks and a hard places with this kit! 1.) I really want to turbo the car, but I dont want to do anything that is going to break something and then make it very difficult to get fixed under warranty. 2.) I want to buy and exhaust system, but havent made up my mind about this turbo kit which would require some customization of whatever exhaust I get. 3.) Lastly, price will determine my choice and if its easy enough to get on and off, if something breaks i will just tow to the house, replace with stock parts and then take in to get fixed hahahaha

Don has designed it purposely to only remove the downpipe. He could clarify, but I think any downpipe back should work. He's done the guess work, now all we have to wait for is numbers, and tune results.
