That's why I rebadged my monogram. I just had to decide on whether I wanted to badge it as the Euro GT86, or the Japanese 86. I went with the Euro since I got the badging already. haha.

Just need the airbag, but I really don't want to spend 600+ on that.

I do not understand the re-badge away from scion. Eventually people will want the scion version cause they weren't made for a very long time.

I know it was just the point. Are people really that ashamed that they drive a scion? From where I am from the brand rep was very neutral. I am actually changing my badges to the black scion versions but still keeping it scion. If I ever sell the car the old badges will go with it in case the new owner wants them.

Of course all this is IMHO but I don't think it's a matter of being ashamed. At the time, Toyota was a more known product. Even with all the other lines, Lexus, Toyota, Scion, it was always known that Toyota was the parent company. SCION is a unique niche but the product they sold (FR-S vs GT86) was so stripped down that I associated the brand with a lower appeal to the younger generation. It wasn't until their 10-Series, Monogram, Release Series to make up for it. It will probably be a unique badge in itself later, but right now, with "my goals", I would rather have the Toyota Badging. Just my $.02 cents.

No, there really is no reason except vanity (says the guy with a Vanity plate, but I'm not trying to fool myself).

The people that don't know the car, don't notice the badge-swap and even if they do, don't care. The people that DO know the car, know it's a badge swap and aren't fooled or impressed. Might as well donate the money to the charity of your choice so it'll at least do some good.

I don't even think it's of the same level as a wheel swap. Even if it's purely aesthetic, wheels are the shoes of the car and lend personality. Badge swap is like stick-on air vents - it's the equivalent of wearing a pin on your jacket.
