Since you have this issue and know what happen better than all of us, could you organize the first post of this thread to document what happened?

ie,
Day 1, Check engine light is on.
Day 7, dealer called and said they replace item X to fix the issue.

So, that people who have similar problem does not have to go through the entire thread to find out what happen.

Also, may be add tags that allows other to search this thread.

Many thanks

Take it from someone thats driven around for the past 3 weeks in a little red 2012 yaris rental. if you shift it down from drive to the "3" setting it'll prevent fourth gear engagement and that stupid Eco light from coming on. The car will hold 3-4000 rpm a lot better making city driving a lot more manageable.

Good advise about CELs.

Oh, now you remembered that its a Subaru! :-) How about the fact that issue may lay in the ONLY part that Toyota provided - DI. :-)

My past 4 cars have been 1st year cars, they had issues but small minor ones. This car has big issues. I think it's because it's a collaboration between 2 companies. More hands more chance of things going wrong.

DAN-Do you know the code that was thrown by your car?

Example: P0440 is the check gas cap/evap. emissions code.
