I wonder what happened to the flange welding here, lol. Should seal, but wow.

FWIW I have a similar small imperfection on my JDL header flange. It adds character to a hand-welded piece.

My luck with the Grimmspeed gaskets has been rather poor, BTW. Couldn't make them seal, I'd always get dripping flanges on a cold start.

FYI, I was at the track a week ago and saw an S2000 with a Voltex wing that got ripped right off the car due to so much downforce. The guy mounted it with 1/4" aluminum brackets and it ripped the aluminum in half. Granted, that wing likely produced more downforce than this SARD unit, and his car is much faster than yours, but still...mount it with something thick and metal. 3D printed plastic isn't up the job. |

Just out of curiosity, since your car is really for track duty is there a reason you didn't go single exit or no muffler?

Mostly aesthetics. I like the symmetry and the axleback section is only 16 lbs. Entire catback is only 28 lbs. It's almost 12 lbs lighter than stock. |

[QUOTE=ATL BRZ;2632527]Got busy today and did some track prep.
Swapped on Cobalt XR2 race pads in all four calipers. ![]() Installed a Grillcraft mesh grille to keep the rocks off my oil cooler. ![]() I was able to purchase and install the Velox Motorsports brake cooling kit a little earlier than expected thanks to @VeloxEric so I can get out on track with it this weekend. ![]() ![]() For reference since I didn't get to take any pics in my haste to install the rest after the backing plates. The rotor backing plates fit with the AP Sprint rotors and the duct shoots air into the center of the rotors and through the vanes. The stock fender liners are re installed after minor trimming. ![]() ![]() ![]() May i ask how many steering stoppers did you use when you install velox brake cooling kits? I have the same spec of the wheels and tires set up as yours for track. Because I still have clearance issues by using 3 steering stoppers for each side. When i turn the steering wheel all the way right or left. |

I rubbed on the inner fender liner before the duct at full lock (18x9.5 with 255s), 2 spacers each side and I clear the duct with room to spare. 3 spacers should be enough for nearly all packages minus extremely aggressive ones. Thanks, Eric |
