Rubber sound clutch...

I know i have to the car to the dealer, but i know somebody will benefit from this... My car is a 2013 frs, with 32453 miles, the clutch started to make a rubber like squik, like when rubber material is wet, this happens at the last 2 or 3 inches upon depress of the clutch...
It does not make the sound when cold and it happens inconsistently when warmed up, also this 2 or 3 inches feel weird, spongy on the foot, not smooth as the rest of the movement up top. The squik comes from the engine bay...I made my girlfriend depress the pedal while i inpected the engine bay and the squik comes from the trans bell housing area. There is no sign of failure, no clutch slip, trans is good...well from what i've read here, i'm one of the lucky ones with a good trans i guess...changed to motul 300 whatever if it makes any difference...
Anyway, i changed clutch stock fluid with up to spec synthetic brake fluid, the easiest change of fluid in a car ever, removed fluid was darker than the new one, but it had 32000 miles...
I'm no mechanic in any way but my educated guess is that the throwout bearing is bad...
Soooo....i'll update when the trained professionals on the dealer inspect it...wish me luck
Thoughts are welcomed...i'm prepared for the burns ... so bring it!!! Jeje

No flaming here. You have a good question. IMO that's not the throwout bearing because you would hear it immediately upon beginning to press the clutch, not the bottom as you described.

Do you get the squeak when the engine is not running?

edit: I just went back and read your post. You're already taking it in. Good.

Subbed for info.

I would not say that. I actually just got my throw out bearing changed out. Whenever I pressed down the clutch about 2 - 3 inches before being fully depressed it would make a squeak. I just got back my car yesterday and they replaced the throw out bearing.

Lately, after a trip, upon turning off car in the garage...it can be heard clearly inside and outside of the car...this is the first issue i have, but its the kind of issue as the crickets.... No problem, just a weird sound...but this started 2000 miles now and its getting more consistent and louder!
Jajaja thanks for your opinion, i've read throwout bearing threads here and they refer to the problem like you say... Its that the squik comes from below the clutch slave...Very gratefull, i'll be leaving the car on the dealer by the end of next week, hopefully no later than next friday

Hmmm... So much for armchair troubleshooting. Did the rotating assembly of the bearing fail, or did they replace it and the guide because of fretting?

Reading over the work order it says they replaced the Bearing Release, Retainer Bearing, and front plate cover.

Thanks. Makes sense. Doesn't really matter how it failed, still need to replace it. That front plate cover is the expensive part. It's not supposed to be a wear item.

Mine does the same thing. I'll have to bring it by the dealer at some point. It seems to work just fine, but the noise is irritating isn't it!

I'm at about 24k mi BTW.

I think it's the clutch fork. I had same issue and I sprayed a lubricant in the housing and it went away for about 8k miles.

Yeah, because the front cover / throwout bearing guide need to be lubricated. Some of the very first ones weren't. The front covers eventually wear out and need to be replaced. It's not rolling part of the bearing per se but it still technically is the throwout bearing "area."

There is no substitute for disassembly and thorough inspection. If it has already started to gall, no amount of lubrication will fix it permanently.
