For sure, come out with or without your car! And bring your helmet. Last time we had a big day at Laguna we had plenty of folks come out just to hang with us and catch rides on track.

I think you were answered. But yah bring your helmet and maybe an extra pair of under shorts. Just incase.

I'd start off with NA guys then move up to FI. MRLS is a fast track and FI is gonna be crazy

^^yeah i should be up there and convinced a special guest from socal 86 challenge to show me the ropes. Hopefully all the paranoia of the car self exploding is assuaged by the new oil cooler and moroso oil baffle.

Well, including you, that's 5 we've never had the pleasure to run with. So like ~15 is my guess. I may be generous with that number but I like surprises as well

Fellas, tried to register for Laguna Seca but was told by Dave I need 10+ track days experience to register for 86Cup point-by. Is this true? I've only done 1 track day in the past.

Looks like Point By is full for this session anyway so I'll have to try for next year. So am I limited to Driving School events?

At Laguna, there is no driving school from NCRC (you can add a private instructor for $99/day or ask for a ride if needed)

Yes, you can only participate in 86s cup if you are in Point-by or Open. Given with only 1 track day in the past, you can run with Solo group. Solo Y is still open so register quick. There are some 86s running in Solo at Lagua Seca. Solo Y and G are no difference.

You can still rent the transponder to record your time if possible.

As for NCRC running group, you are automatically in Solo if you have at least one track day. You can pass only on straight (they will have driver meeting and go over those things with you). Once in solo, moving up will be depending on your personal progress. In order to move up, you can request NCRC instructor to sit with you in the group you wish to move up. If he thinks you are ready, he will move you up.
