It would also be cool if it adjusted power based on fuel. Like it ups the boost when it senses E85.
Well the STI doesn't up boost, but it does enhances timing based on the octane it runs... not sure on the exact specifics, and I dont know how it reacts to E85.

there are ALWAYS ways to up boost....

depending on how much boost (assuming they offer a turbo version) it comes with from the factory, it might be as simple as a boost controller.

The STI as well as WRX requires a bigger fuel pump, injectors, and a tune to run. Currently Cobb does not offer off-the-shelf (OTS) maps for E85,IIRC. A protune via AccessPort or OpenSource will work. Just putting a tank in with out those thing and you are asking for trouble.

If the is a turbo version of FT86 ant it come with a current turbo suby ecu. you can "crank up" the boost in the ecu with a new map. 02 WRX responded well to a manual boost controller but all following years the car hated life when you put one of those things on, just like how you are not suppose to run atmosphere venting BOVs on them.

this it what you can do with OpenSource to "crank it up"

yeah, it all depends on how they set up the ECU.

I tried to learn from the tuner that has made all the maps for my WRX, but I was never had the time to dedicate to it, it can get pretty complicated. So I would just get his maps and flash them to my car. The programs that you flash maps to the ecu in OpenSource can also edit them in most cases.

The two pics I attached were just example screenshots off the RomRaider site.

LOL I totally know what you mean. I think, I spent bout $2K or more on it.

I don't have any friends that own any tuning shop... but my friend's uncle owns a body shop... but we're talking bout high quality body shop (Porsche, Ferrari, & all those exotic cars) shop, so even they give me discount, it's still high up for me... but one day, I'll have enough $ to make my Impreza wide body (22B or GD style).

so I envy ya

Two things that I have trouble wrapping my head around on the AE86 is how the struts have the bearing integrated into them (making custom coilovers a bigger pain than they have to be?) and the solid axle. (What no rear camber adjustment?)

However I've heard you can get around -1 degree in the rear by selectively heating the axle. Circle-track domestic guys do it, but the idea would scare the crap out of me to do it.

Ichi: 22b style. Do it! (You on NASIOC? I'm Burnman on NASIOC, mostly on the VIC Chapter, and don't post as much as here.)

22B style is really sweet. It could go w no spoiler or w spoiler, it work w everything! Just problem w 22B, if I do it, I want to do the front bumper too... but they don't make any or (rarely) front lip. That's the suck part

Yup, I do have an account there & also RS25. & of course my account id is Ichitaka_Is. Yeah, I don't really post any on NASIOC. Maybe here and there on RS25... but not as much as here. Also I do have Supraforum id (illusion05 iirc). I wanted to buy Supra few yrs back and Supraforum is best place to look for it, so I made an account there.

I've been tempted to do my own lip for both the Supra and the Legacy but my landlord isn't too keen on me playing with hot-wire cutting styrofoam and mixing up epoxy on the premises... Don't want to kill the cat either.

I've got too many things to do and not enough time or space. Grrr!!!
