Im guessing.. BRZs are more limited in supply AND if you have the money to even consider a subaru in canada, you're too good for a discount

Tom Vu is one of our toyota salesmen that is trying to help out with scion. I would ask you guy to ask me directly for any help with pre ordering.

With the high demand on this car no bill of sale is not an option, the bill of sale holds us the dealer to providing you with the car as promised. Nothing else.

I'm more than willing to work with everyone here on a discounted rate for preorders as a group.

Anyone that has been around racing in Toronto knows me and would verify that I'm a honest guy.

If you want pm me and we will talk. I have nothing to hide and will be more than helpful.

My email is Kenny.shaw@kenshawscion.ca and phone # is 416 766 1155 ext 107.
Hey Kenny.

I was the individual who was at your dealership the other day. Sorry, I got a little annoyed as I came down from Ottawa to put a deposit down and failed to do so.

Would your dealership be able to work out a discount with our group by - assuming we all went down & signed a bill of sales?

I would be more than happy to work something out for you guys.

I understand you were annoyed and i hope you understand why I had to take the position I did.

I believe Tom is talking with someone else on the form regarding dates to come down.

Tom is now on the same page and i will be working very closely to him.

Lets try and make everything go smooth.

Thanks again and sorry about the mix up.

I think a few folks (including myself) are still waiting to see the prices - someone posting here heard from a Subie rep that the price differential would be in the same ballpark as Scion Canada's, so a Premier might be around 27,400. So an extra 1400 gets you HIDs, LEDs, nav, lined trunk, different seat fabric and dash. Not a bad deal IMO.

But a group buy is questionable due to the very low volume of BRZs coming in this year, far fewer than the FR-S, so I very much doubt dealers would bite. And a group buy on the FR-S should knock at least 1k off the price, bringing that differential to 2400, no longer a bargain.

Apparently the dealers already have the invoice price. Invoice pricing should be $24,512.50, 4% above invoice is 25,493.00. PM if you don't believe me and are wondering how I know this.

I get the feeling that with this revelation there are going to be a few people backing out.

We should really get dealerships to provide us with varying levels of discounts for the different amounts of pre-orders.

^ Seems this is completely in line with what I brought over above, that dealers are working with the car companies to bury their profits in other paybacks made by the company to the dealer so that the invoice price can move closer to the MSRP. There is going to be at least $1200 of profit in that "invoice" price after all the kickbacks to the dealer. We need to get the group buy price down to at least 2% over invoice, or $25002.75. It looks like we have over 10 people on board, should be doable.

Ken, can you comment on what would be possible at Ken Shaw Scion?

I think we need to leave the negotiating to one individual - Sailbot has taken the lead with this.

We have 10 people lined up. We should be able to get invoice pricing. I have no doubt that any dealership would be glad to have 10 orders in 1 day.

Hey Kenny,

It's nice having a dealer communicate directly with us. You mention that you are an honest guy, I am the same way - almost to a fault. The very fact that you have shown yourself and are talking to us on this board proves a lot, but one could reason that you are here simply to justify Heero's treatment at your dealership.

We currently have a considerable list of confirmations, but a substantial deal has yet to be offered.

I don't know about the others, but I for one have a specific minimum target and if it is not met then I am going to have to walk. Many of us have been waiting and watching for this car for years, what's another couple months?

In that case, anyone else on the forum have a deposit with Richmond Hill Subaru? May be we can somehow negotiate a better price with them together...if the damn Canadian pricing is ever announced!!

once I know the BRZ pricing, I will weigh my options and figure out if I am to get the Toyobaru (one version or another) this year, or in a year or two.

K if you're dissatisfied with BRZ pricing once its out, post here. ill add you to the "future buyer's list" so that you can get a simmilar discount and the dealership gets more customers down the road too
