Stay FAR away from that kid when he's in that car. FAR away. Not b/c of potential aggression or whatever, but you do NOT want to be part of the collateral damage when that kid ends up losing control and wrapping it around a tree.

That's pretty pathetic. People these days think their capabilities are mirrored by those of their car... the way I see it, it doesn't matter how expensive or fast your car is; it's easy to talk shit when you're foot is on the gas pedal ready to run away from conflict, but you'd better be able to hold your own when you're not surrounded by your little cage on wheels...
All instigating remarks aside, our cars are pretty flashy and attract a lot of attention, both positive and negative. Get used to being called out by losers with faster cars and something to prove, but try not to play their idiotic street-racing games. That's what sets us apart as more "mature" enthusiasts

Uggm, what Dad doesn't expect to have a nicer car than a high school kid for the most part.
Quote:
My solution would be to buy a couple of $300 cars, and park a little too close to the lines where the Ferrari is parked the first day the kid drives it to school. Directly behind it, park a Suburban or some such big vehicle that sticks out a little too far from its parking space closing the gap. Something is going to end up with red paint on it...

Sadly, there are way to many people who act like asshats in SOCAL. Had a run in with one today in fact.
Was driving along today when I saw a guy in an Audi A4 2.0T hauling ass 3 to 4 cars behind me. I'm in the left lane passing all the minivans and Priuses that plague the streets when I notice him riding my bumper. Now, I always heard that Audi drivers were douches, but I never really believed it. This guy must have been in his mid 40s and he had that look that he was some scumbag businessman or something like that. So I decide to slow down a little bit and drive directly next to the car in the right lane to hold him up for a little while. I wasn't under the speed limit either I was doing a little above the limit in fact (like 53 in a 50 or something like that). Finally, after awhile I let him pass me and he gets stuck at the next light. Now this is where it gets good. He rolls his window down and yells "WTF are you doing, I have important places to be." I started laughing hard. He looks and asks why I'm laughing at him and I tell him "Why, you late for your appointment to talk to your doctor about Viagra?" The look on his face was priceless as I drove off when the light turned green. |
