Just make sure you hook up Neutral Safety green/black wire for (M/T) Its located at the ECM behind glove box. Its a white 31 pin plug, pin 16. Its one of two wires you will need to tap into on the inside passenger side of the car. The second right side wire is for the passanger side door trigger. You will also need an automotive relay to bypass the clutch switch. You use the relay so the car thinks your pressing down on the clutch during the remote start process. http://www.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/1. No way around it . I tried. You would flash one for the door locks the other one would be for the immobilizer. If you don't use the 2 bypasses you will get a network error CEL or the unit you use wont work right. |

@milkesfrs
Thanks for the info, Guess I'll just have to order 2 of them, bit pricey.. ![]() In Australian model, we have to press clutch to start the car, I dont know about US. So did you do clutch bypass as well for the remote start? Also think it might help if you could roughly tell me in which order you installed them..? eg, start button then immobiliser then....... etc Thanks heaps, just want to organise as much as info I can before I order and install it. EDIT: Cant seem to find installation guide on idatalink on their website, which guide did you use? |

Wiring for the clutch bypass : Terminal ----> Where the wire goes 86 ------> constant 12v = battery 85 ------> ground wire from remote start while its engaged. On Advance Keys System this wire is usually reffered to as the status output wire or ground when running. 30 ------> one of the two clutch switch wires 87 ------> the other clutch switch wire I ordered both units as a package . You have to install the smart key system with one of the idatalink units 1st. Than the push to start system with the other idatalink. Here is the guides to install the idatalink units for the FRS / BRZ. The first file is for the door locks and the other file is for the immobilizer bypass |

Got a question for you sir!
I've installed a regular remote start on a Scion FR-S. I've used only 1 Idatalink bypass and well everything work fine! The only thing that still bug me it's the door lock. I try to control them via the door lock switch harness but the module don't seem to pulse right for the BCM.

Advanced Keys Push to Start Install in progress For the FRS.
I'll be picking one up since a vendor gave me a better price than online for it.

I want to install a viper alarm/remote starter. Do I need 2 bypass modules ( key transponders) like you stated for your install? Thank you
