I wouldn't think doing it early could be bad. I had mine done at 1500 miles just to be sure.

No and not recommended. Old school out of date info.

Change as per Scion specification by time or mileage, whichever first occurs.

In the event there was any casting sand or tiny metal chards floating around I changed at 1000 miles. It might have been unnecessary but since it made me feel better it was worth it.

All lubricants replaced at 1500 miles. Engine/Tranny/Diff. But that's because I have the tools and means to do it quickly and easily myself.

I did mine at 1050 and the drain plug was covered with shavings.

There was a test done that found metal shavings in the first oil change, and not after that. I went ahead and did mine at 3700 because it was free. Ill start my regular 7500's at the 10k mark. Currently at 6800.
