Anything more than that is just an attempt to fit in to a sub-subculture, to make as a hobby, and to try to stand out. Those sorts of behaviors are again, relegated to people under the age of 25.

And that's fine, but it certainly isn't for me.

I guess I'm the minority here. I wouldn't slam my FR-S and put 18x11's like the whole stance scene but I think some of them look cool. My driveway is way too steep for something like that but I do plan to lower it.

The "frog look" (the term it was called when I hang out up in the Bay Area as a kid) has been here since the 80's and it's more common now that rebarrelling is available, a machine to roll the fenders evenly, more available offsets etc.

To me, I like all cars when they are done right; ol skool imports, 90's imports, ol skool classic Chevy's especially a '66 Nova! Not all of the hellaflush run cut springs and most of them run coilovers and air ride suspension.

What we have here is a car which by all accounts so far, has the handling characteristics of a super-car, and yet people are already talking about fucking with the suspension before the car is even released.

I don't think it will become the ricer vehicle of choice. It is going to probably cost similar/more than a civic si and I hardly see those around. Maybe that is because it doesn't come in automatic. Cars that seem to become ricer are popular second hand cars or maybe featured in music videos. For example civics, accords, altimas, g coupe, even chrysler 300. I don't think that "scene" follows logic.

Pretty much the same for me. I've never done it and probably won't ever slam any car of mine because it's not my thing when it comes to application. I do like seeing it from time to time though. But "done right" is subjective to individual tastes of course.

For example: the Looking AE86 you posted is a track drifted car (check the video and see he still has room for suspension travel), so I'm not bothered by the fitment or stance. In fact, most of those old school rides look fine to me. But I think that purple Odyssey looks like absolute crap. And while the camber isn't terrible, the WRX gets no love since I don't like the idea of slamming AWD cars.

Again, it comes down to individual taste.

I like that look just as much as I like how he made sure his 2 packs of Marlboro Reds were secure in the cup holder! I have smoked a cigarette is over 6 yrs!

I posted the Looking Hachi since Zaku was asking about that Creme/Beige color that was popular in the 80's. The only benefit of stretching the tires is to clear the fender. It's funny to see how people like Japanese cars so much yet don't like the wheels, esp the AE86.

I agree with the Odyssey since #1-I would never own a mini van, no matter if I had 5 little brats and #2-Lavender paint. The point I was making with the Odyssey was that it was on air ride so it's only tucked like that when it's parked.

Hellaflush can never be done "right" As in functional. It's a stupid trend, that like underglows will become "rice" in a few years. Sadly I think this car will be the go to car for hellaflushers in a few years. Kind like 350z's are now.
