Aftermarket Pulleys and their weights

GFB water pump pulley is 0.50-0.53, not 0.75 - it's a typo, copy/paste of the crank pulley weight which was copied by many resources.

Remember its not just weights. The toda units are under-drive, which puts even less strain on the motor.

Our pulley sells for 95.00 not the 110 listed here. We are also looking into doing a run of accessory pulleys to match our crank pulley.

hmm with these pulleys anyone notice any stability issues or negative changes with a completely stock engine. I've been wanting to pull the trigger on this but not sure how it will affect the car if there's any negative affects at all.

The "underdrive" vs stock pulley diameters is key to how these work. (so should probably be included in the chart)

If you want to feel a difference (HP gain), then you need the underdrive pulleys.

If you just want to reduce the total vehicle weight, then all you care about is total weight difference.

AFAIK, no one makes an underdrive pulley for the 86. I have no expectation of any kind of HP/Tq gain, I'm getting a kit for the better throttle response.

I have no intention of ruining this thread with a long debate about the benefits (or lack thereof) of pulleys. However there is no basis in fact for the statement : "yet lead to great throttle response and improved horsepower numbers in many applications". That is purely marketing BS.

Nope, not looking to debate. I was merely quoting NST's statement (I have no affiliation) and trying to be helpful as far as contributing to the info pool.

I've read your comments and theoreticals about how these lightweight pulleys should have no appreciable effect to performance (via HP gain). But as I've already stated, I have no expectations of any kind of HP/Torque gains (I absolutely agree with you that that's marketing BS, or if there are any gains it would be too inconsequential to merit mention), but I AM expecting to gain the quicker throttle response.
