Are you actually losing traction or just afraid of losing traction?

As mentioned above, aero (only matters at speed), tire pressure...also smooth transition (hands) and modulated application of brakes/power (feet), especially if boosted, also suspension not too stiff for smoother weight transfer...I like zero toe and on track I preferred 3.4f/2.7r camber to the 3.0f/2.5r that I have now...

This is a very valid point.

Those of use that started out tracking on two wheels are a little more accustomed to the effects of weight transfer and being OK with the vehicle moving around more.

Agreed.

It takes testing/experimentation to see what you're comfortable with/suits your style/etc. Get your base alignment set, mark it, then you can experiment.

Tuning can play a factor here. I see you are turbo'd like I am.

For example, I tried a new tuner's map at my local track and was instantly disgusted by it at corner exits. The way he has my power/boost come in is too "laggy" and when it does come in it surges causing the rear to feel unpredictable and loose. I switched back to my original tune and the power delivery was linear withe the throttle and powering out of corners became predictable again.

Other than that, as people have said, more tire and camber, maybe less tire pressure depending on your tire temp distribution. How much boost are you running? I am on WG pressure (6-7 psi) at the track which makes the car less monstrous....

A lot of people grow to love oversteer and might even tell you that the rear feeling loose at the limit is a good thing. Controllable oversteer is different than unpredictable boost surging though. I like the former.

I'm running 25psi on the rear tires

Yes, I have FI, I keep it at my lowest setting of 8psi. my tune is very linear and pretty predictable, i love it!

Where you can do this safely, adjust one variable at the time, then push just beyond the limits of adhesion and observe how the car behaves as you correct steering and apply brakes/gas. It will teach you a lot. I've spent some time lately on a local short (.7 mi) AX course at Lime Rock Park - a small track with elevation changes and varied turns, as opposed to a parking lot with cones. I learned more about the car in three days of inducing slip on this course where it's safe to spin out at lower speeds than in 4 years of tracking two cars on full race tracks, where I was afraid to push too hard due to a higher risk of damage.

OT: I can see a disused old air strip which would be a hoot to use as a testing ground from my place. Problem is it's the wrong side of a military fence

25 psi sounds awfully low...

A larger rear swaybar will not help. I would start by softening rear compression on your V3s a few clicks.

7k isn't THAT soft. That's more like "medium" to me. What kind of tires are you running?

IMO, you should keep driving until the rear is actually breaking loose.

What kind of suspension setup and tire setup are you running?

What you think "feels" loose, may not actually be even close to the actual limit of the car.

25psi is getting dangerously low IMHO. I wouldn't go below 30 cold.

I start at 27 cold. It gets to 34 hot which is just right.
