Temporarily powering Homelink after shutdown?
Hey guys,
Been lurking for a couple months but I thought I'd come out of the shadows. I bought a 2016 Limited BRZ back in January with the Homelink mirror. The homelink buttons work fine but it would be nice if the buttons worked after the car shutoff for the same period that the windows and radio do. I typically use the homelink button to close the garage door after I have pulled in and it is annoying when I hit the stop button before the homelink one. I know, I know, #firstworldproblems Does anyone know if it is possible to change the circuit that controls the mirror to stay on for a little while after shut down. I searched for a while but couldn't come up with anything. |

Rewire it into the alarm or keyless entry circuit. Those stay hot all the time.

That's what I figured. I'm thinking of just tapping into the interior dome light wires since they are right there.
It would be nice to find a circuit that is only powered for a short while after shutting down so that the garage door couldn't be opened if the car was left in the driveway and broken into. I guess it's just some time with a multi-meter. |
