Your opinion on my stance "work in progress" ?
Hi, Im wondering what you think of my idea for my budget 86 stance project.
Rims: Rotiform NUE 18x9.5" +25 squared. (Ordered) Susp: BC Racing 10K Extreme drop. (Not decided, air?) Fenders pulled. Custom detail paint job will be done soon. Exhaust build which I have pipes and welding equipment available at work. More under consideration, ideas is much appreciated! This is not my daily, so comfort is not prioritized. Will be starting a work-log as soon as I decide what to do w/ suspension As it sits now: Source of inspiration: -AeroToy Last edited by AeroToy; 12-07-2014 at 07:00 PM. |

So, that makes the question, what is stance to you then?
Stance does not automatically = low, wide, stretched, wider fenders etc. It has to work for the car as a WHOLE, regardless of those factors. Some cars look better higher with bigger tires and narrower wheels, some don't. That's the whole point of stance, is for it to work with the car TOGETHER. Anything and everything on the car is a factor of its overall "stance." |

Not really my thing and I don't think "Stance" is best suited for this type of car. But keep at it and you'll get there one day.

Aggressive wheel fitment and lowering springs can also be stance for instance. It's up to each and everyone to decide, even tho StanceNation roots for the most extreme :P |

For me, people who use "stance" as an adverb are irritating and the "scene" is only eclipsed in stupidity by the one rusty panel and stickerbomb freaks.
However, despite the flavor of bile in the back of my throat, it is your car not mine and I hope you can achieve the look in your mind in real life. Have fun with your car and express yourself and F the haters like me. If it looks right to you, then it's right.

Not sure what the specific definition of "Stanced" is, I guess it could mean what you want it to mean...BUT...In Southern California "Stanced" is more of a scene where people try and stretch tires and have a pretty aggressive camber setting. It usually seems like the more extreme the camber and stretch, the more "Stanced" you are. But that's just what I see. It seems the main focus is for show and to look cool, rather then performance and actual racing. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion, let them be. Not everyone is racing their cars.
*I forgot to add extremely wide wheels with big lips
