Aftermarket steering wheel

Hey guys I wanted to put an aftermarket steering wheel in my car. If I am correct all I will need is a hub adapter, quick release, and the wheel. I want to use a Splash hub adapter as it will allow me to retain the factory clock spring. I will also be using a NRG 2.5 quick release on a Personal wheel. Is this all I need and is there any recommendations for other brands if these are not compatible together?

you don't NEED a quick release. those are only for "scene points" unless you having bucket seats with harness's and its hard to get out of your seats which i doubt. but anyways yes splash hub is great, i have one. just make sure your clock spring is centered when you install, otherwise you'll have problems.
Any 6 point wheel will work with that hub

enjoy

keep in mind that most aftermarket hubs are not designed to crumple when in an impact. the only one that I know of that crumples is the Momo hub. especially the NRG quick releases, they're just straight solid and will not crumple. you're also removing your airbag which is a safety concern. so if by any chance you get into a high speed collision, you will not have your front airbag deploy and your chest/face will slam straight into a steering wheel that will have no give.

I would advise to go with a hub adapter that crumples at the very least.

BTW, quick releases are meant to be used in racing application where you have a tight harness to stop you from slamming into the steering wheel.
