Bilstein Shock B6-B8
Why are they available in Europe but not in America?
Are they better then the Koni? What's the main difference between the B6 and the B8? |

They are more durable than Koni (and can be rebuild). B6s are for stock springs or minimal drop, B8s are for lowering springs.

I said "when the time comes" ...meaning, in a couple years when they are starting to get worn out or need servicing. I'm sure it would be pricey and unwise to buy brand new B8s and have them rebuilt right away vs just getting coilovers...but it would be nice to know if these can be custom built (with more aggressive valving preferably) in the future when needed/wanted.

Does it usually have to be rebuilt by a certified bilstein technician/shop? ...or can any good damper rebuilder/shop do it? (idk if they need bilstein specific parts and tools, that maybe only bilstein shops have, to work on them).

Just want to confirm that ride quality is better than stock.

can they be retrofitted with external canisters for adjustability during such a rebuild?
i had a... friend.. awhile back that did that to his own stuff, but he was keep to himself type of guy. from what i know (which could be entirely wrong), the shim design of Bilsteins isn't as big a mystery as Koni... or is it the other way around.
