Stock Header Question

Can you replace the primary cat in the stock header? I ask because I plan on getting a tune, and I think leaning out the AFR will shorten the life span of the primary cat. Just wanting to make sure I can change it down the line if need be.

Should replace the header if you intend on tuning the car. No reason to run something more restrictive.

I agree. But I am not happy with the header options. The AP is losing power on most dynos. And the JL is way too expensive. Maybe the Borla units will be good performers...

More headers will be showing up to the market. Perrin and Nameless haven't given their final designs yet. Borla is one of the best choices currently due to price and proven performance and a nice UEL design. I'm going to wait and see what Perrin and Nameless do before I jump the gun. The car is still so new that they are still tweaking results and fabricating different designs till they get what they want.

Or just punch it out and carry on as if you were normal.

Even the best options are only picking up 5-6 hp, maybe 8-10. With so many parts looming not too far away, there's plenty of reason to run the stock unit for now.

Isolated case that happen many many years ago. Regardless, they took care of the problem quickly as all their parts have 1 million mile warranties. Something you wont get from pretty much any other company...
