Hub/Bearing assembly - Aftermarket?

Need to replace one of my front hub/bearing assemblies. Wondering if aftermarket parts (Timken, etc.) are OK? Or would I be better off spending extra $ for the Toyota/Subaru assembly?

Anyone with experiences?

I recently replaced my front hub bearings with the Centric part below. They are made by NTN (OE bearing suppler) and are made in Japan.

After a few thousand miles and a track day weekend I have no complaints.

Thanks for the info. Good to know that is who makes the OEM bearings. I looked at that one.
I went with the Timken bearing. Everything is nice and quiet now!

Before you buy an aftermarket one, just know that OEM hub bearing assembly is around $150. Not a whole lot of money, they withstand a lot of abuse.

Nice find!

They were sold out at RockAuto, but I found them on Amazon for $85. For a Centric part that's a great price.

$150 vs the $85 I paid for the Timken hub is a big difference to me! Not sure about the "whole lot of abuse" thing either. Mine is a stock daily driver. I hit something in the road. Did not damage my tire or wheel, but broke off the TPMS inside the tire. It also damaged the bearing!
After being charged nearly $200 to have the sensor replaced and programmed...........I wasn't about the throw money at the dealer for an over-priced part and labor.

I've hit a lot of potholes, and track the car heavily on r-compounds or similar grip levels tires. I've hit berms on racetracks hard enough to crack wheels. I've only just replaced the front bearings after 4 years of use and around 40 days of track. I'd say thats a lot of abuse.

PS: I live in Montreal, a quick google search will show you the kind of shit roads we have here.
